I know this isn't last year's team, but their main talking point is returning starters. Here's how they did against SEC competition last season!
Cade Klubnik: 68/108 63% completion, 758 yards, 3 TD, 3 INT, 50 rushing yards, 2 TDs, was sacked 6 times
Adam Randall: 4 carries, 44 yards (all against Texas)
Bryant Wesco JR: 9 catches, 102 yards, 0 TD
Antonio Williams: 18 catches, 241 yards, 1 TD
TJ Moore: 13 catches, 188 yards, 1 TD
TJ Parker: 12 tackles, 1 sack, 3 TFL
Peter Woods: 13 tackles, 1 sack, 4 TFL
Wade Woodaz: 23 tackles, 1 sack, 5 TFL
Sammy Brown: 20 tackles, 1 sack, 3 TFL (Didn't play against UGA)
Avieon Terrell: 15 tackles, 3 Deflections
Ashton Hampton: 7 tackles, 1 Deflection (Didn't play against UGA)
41 points scored, 261 rushing yards, 4 turnovers
89 points allowed, 644 passing yards allowed, 728 rushing yards allowed, 4 turnovers forced

I think two of those passing touchdowns came in second half against Texas when they were down 21+ and game was over.

Sounds like we should dominate them then. I still don’t understand why some of y’all want to discredit Clemson as a team.

Bringing up how they did a year ago doesn't equal discrediting them
It's a legit talking point that national guys have brought up numerous times

So if a Clemson fan brought up how bad we were last year, would you consider it discrediting LSU?

No, it's a valid point and there are still some major concerns from last season

Fair. I guess I’ve seen some “why Clemson is overrated posts” that sounded a lot like yours. Apologies for assuming,

how bad we were last year? Numbers please

Looking at those stats Clempson is in for a rude awakening

Their offense was atrocious vs UGA and South Carolina. They only moved the ball vs Texas.

I think it's more of "tired of hearing how Clemson is the best team in the country" thing, at least it is for me. Best defense in the country when they bringing everyone back from a 70th ranked team, add a couple players, new DC, and now they magically gonna be the best defense in the nation.

ah yes, we've reached the part of opening game week where we convince ourselves LSU will dismantle the other team. I've fallen for it the last 5 seasons...
AND AM FALLING FOR IT AGAIN, GOOD GUYS BY A BILLION

Its similar to us on here that keep asking can we run the ball this year when we sucked at it last year...Will be curious to see if we can run the ball or if we have to do the quick passing game to be an extension of the run game to try to keep the defensive line at bay.

Agreed, some folks are scared to death of them. I'm not saying they are not a good team or should not be respected, I think they are getting a lot of shine for what they did last year but when you drill down deeper what they did last year does not really warrant the amount of shine....I think that's all most folks are saying here.
We can beat them. They can also beat us, but we certainly can and should compete quite well with them.

They scored 3 against UGA. Nuff said

The difference nobody is talking about:
Clemson didn’t really add transfers.
LSU’s weak positions last season are mostly transfer additions.
They are mostly the same team..
LSU is mostly a different team.
