Dabo better worry about Ohio St
Ohio St is more talented on paper
No one has questioned how good Lawrence is, he got off to a terrible start and had no big game to get the attention of Heisman voters. He is still in line to be first pick in 2021.

It’s him trying to convince his team to have a chip on their shoulders.
Nobody disrespects them... just their schedule.
hell they’re favored against Ohio state.

I think he has discovered a proven way to fire up his players. It works for him, and he’s going to continue to use it until it doesn’t work. How can you fault him for that?

I mean I sorta get it
No one wants to be the 2/3 seed
No one wants to be a 1 loss Conference champ getting left out.
He’s annoying
Clemson is good. They have no competition but they never do, but they’ve won 2 NCs. So what can you do?

I mean I'm going to put it the same way that I've put it to everyone else. Clemson has had recent success but historically they are irrelevant. He is trying to put a chip on his and his team's shoulder. But who cares? frick em. Geaux Tigers!

Some of you guys simply don’t get it. Dabo does all that to motivate his own team. He uses the media to provide an indirect message to his team. Saban does the same thing. Coaches have been doing this for a long time.
His team played bored and passionless the first half of the season. He finally got through to them 1/2 through. Now... he needs them at their peak. Dabo is damn good at what he does.

I didn’t mind Clemson but they are turning into the “pitiful me” driving a Lamborghini saying they have nothing to eat when they can go anywhere and order anything or have someone cook at home. My point. They went from cool feel good story to a crying bitch in less than a year!

Fuel for the Roy bus.

Yeah he's at it again: "Lawrence is the greatest player in all of CFB and everyone is trying to keep Clemson out of the CFP".
I'm losing respect for Clemson by the minute. If Dabo would just shut his mouth people would respect them more.

You'd think at some point someone in his inner circle would tell him "man, I don't know if you think you're playing some kind of psychological warfare, but you really need to tone it down. You're starting to embarrass yourself and your team".
Instead, this guy just rolls along, playing the victim while he plays THE easiest schedule out of all the contending teams, every year, and his team has been rewarded by being put in the playoffs EVERY YEAR. What kind of alternate universe does he live in to believe that is being disrespected?

This is the narrative that is sold to us about these coaches and why they whine, but I don't actually believe it has any effect. When people actually ARE disrespecting you, saying you aren't good, or that you're overrated, then I believe players see and hear those things and it fires them up.
But no one has spoken badly of Clemson. There is no disrespect. They just don't get to be ranked #1, because they played no one. You don't hear people saying "psshh, these guys will never win against a good team". So Dabo's words ring hollow. Clemson has had success because they recruited good players and hired good assistants. Not because their head coach is a chronic whiner.

I used to think Dabo was some kind of real serious Christian. He always thanked God for giving him all sorts of victories while protecting them from injuries. It started sounding as if God Himself was a Clemson man and probably a graduate as well.
But as I kept listening to Dabo and he goes on to start this spill about how unfair everyone treated Clemson. And golly gee boy howdy woe is me our enemies plot night and day against our poor little old school.

I'm a Christian, myself, and there's nothing wrong with thanking God for success. It's what we should do, in fact. It needs to be understood that you are thanking God for the opportunities, and abilities to be successful, as opposed to thinking that God is a fan of your football team. I don't think Dabo is trying to insinuate that God is outright determining the outcome of games.
But I'd appreciate it if he'd show a little humility as it pertains to this notion of disrespect. I could understand it, if people were really trashing his team. But that isn't the case. All of those who are trying to say this is how he motivates his team, should look no further than our own team to see how much that matters. You don't hear LSU coaches or players whining, and we've just gone through the toughest schedule in America, and are 13-0, thus far. If you're good, you're good. Contrived outrage does not motivate a team to be better.
