I hope you’re correct, but his ERA and strikeout to walk rate wasn’t very good this season.

So if and when you were a high school coach, if you got a freshmen or sophomore arm, with some velocity, if his era and k to walk ratio was bad, you just didnt expect improvement and development over the next 2-3 years under your guidance?

Again, when I coached I was familiar with the kids who played for me. I’d watched them since they were 10 or 12 years old. I can tell you, as a freshman or Senior, a plus 8 ERA and 35 K’s to 25 walks would have me concerned.

Finally, I didn’t have many freshman pitch for me over the 30 years.

Do you think Jay isnt familiar with the kids he is recruiting? He recruits them for longer than a year and sometimes for 2-3 years.

Thats because this is a different league, and you have to be able to project some, and players only stay 1-3 years here. And jay has a salary cap to manage

The title of your thread and content of your post certainly implies this. Just saying.

Totally ageee with your comments. I am no Jay Johnson….as if I needed to go on record saying as much, but some of the comprehension about my OP has been lacking.

I started the post after a full season of watching our freshman and sophomore pitchers struggle.

I simply wanted to know who Ranters thought would stay and who would be given their walking papers.

The only point I called Paz out was when I asked about mediocrity. He has a plus 8 ERA with 35 K’s and 25 walks.

I understand he’s a freshman. I understand he could have signed a pro contract. I simply find it interesting to hear the opinions of others and can do so without personally attacking those I disagree with.

You were literally so bad at coaching that some kid got cancer and died to get away from you.

Wow, what a pathetic little person you are. Hopefully, you’re just trolling and not a total POS.

Ahh, I’m sorry, I just figured out you’re another damned Yankee. It all makes sense now.

Oh when you personally insult someone it’s fine but you don’t like it when it’s given back?

Keep lying about your coaching career and keep lying about what you meant by this thread relative to Paz. You’re absolutely a piece of shite, you just apparently don’t know it.

I promise you, if insulted you….you did so first. Again, you’re a damned Yankee. You people are raised differently than we are here in the Deep South. You’re rude people.

You sound like a Kamala supporter

LOL, retard

You started a thread to shite on the student athletes, lied about being a coach, and now you’re trying to make some geographical superiority claim without knowing where I’m actually from.

But you’re definitely not rude or a piece of shite

You made fun of a kid I coached dying of cancer. Only a full retard would do something that sick.

Don’t start walking the joke back now big man.

The really sad thing about you making a joke about a child who died of cancer is the fact that you’re probably at least 55 years old.

What kind of person in their 50’s makes fun of a kid who died of cancer?

I’m not walking anything back. You’re just too dumb to understand what I said.

Yep, just a 55 year old yankee.

I didn’t make fun of the kid. Here I’ll explain it: you are so awful that getting cancer and dying is preferable to being around you. That’s not making fun of the kid, it’s leveraging his tragedy to tell you how fricking terrible you are.

You want to say other people need reading comprehension skills, frick. I hope you weren’t an English teacher when you were “coaching” for 30 years.
