Says the La Tech fan

I’m an LSU alum.

I fly the Tech logo for a kid I coached back in the early 2000’s who died of cancer. He was a huge Tech fan. Kid really made an impact on me.

Your frustration is warranted but it shouldn’t be directed at Paz.

If you want to go after Williams, Rizy, or Noot be my guest.

Let’s see what Paz does

Agreed.

My post wasn’t about Paz but the pitching staff in general.

Mr Paz made it about his boy though.

Agreed and my post wasn’t meant to single him out. It was more about the staff in general but Mr Paz made it about his son.

Why? Does Paz get a break here? If so why?

What I would know for a fact is that LSU should never be this bad. I also understand that freshmen today are much more prepared to make the jump to college than ever before.

Development is certainly part of it, but what I’ve seen from this bullpen has been far below what any LSU staff should look like.

Again, I didn’t make this about Paz. Mr. Paz did when he believed I was singling out his son.

He’s coming off a major injury as a true freshman playing in a spot he would never play under normal circumstances (Evans, Schmidt, Moore). This season doesn’t matter, getting him reps against incredible competition will do him wonders for next year.

There’d be some better signs if that was the case. Worst pitching we’ve had since pre Skip. Horrible recruiting and evals from JJ. Total bust.

Several guys you are all thinking of will still be here next year. Schmidt is obvious. Paz, Theo and Ricken will 100% be back unless they decide to leave. Jay isn’t pushing Evans and Williams out the door after sophomore slumps, either. Moore sounds like he’s already decided to skip the draft coming off injury. Sheerin will be back if he doesn’t leave for the draft.

Rizy maybe, but I would bet Jay still wants to try again with him. Jay seems to like Guidry, so he likely isn’t shown the door, but he may leave on his own for a shot to have a bigger role in his last season. At least one of Lach and Garcia will likely be let go to free up some NIL.

We are losing 4 pitchers to eligibility. That plus Plog, Noot, Primeaux and 1 of Garcia and Lach is 8 spots to replace.

If you want the Rev Share and NIL funds to go further, letting more arms go isn’t the way to do it.

If you didn’t mean to aim your original post directly at Paz, then you need to learn what context is.
