LSU's message to the SEC league office was clear -- we want to play the game this weekend and we'll do whatever we need to do to make that happen.

Yeah, frick foley for slandering alleva. I'm sure we tried to accommodate Florida just as much we we tried with South Carolina.

I think this is fair to all sides considering this game should have been played Sat,Sun, or Mon past.

This article provides a nice objective perspective and insight on the chronology of events. It gives some shared blame while getting out the story of LSU's willingness to accommodate and get the game played on the originally scheduled weekend.

Clay gets a lot of undue hate. I'm a big fan of his.

frick Clay Travis. When this first went down, the clown was bashing LSU on twitter. Then when he actually took the time to listen to the facts he changed his tune.

good read. The only issue is that the article fails to give a reason why Florida completely ruled out a Sundsay or Monday game. That part is what seems shady.

It wasn't pretty, but in the end the SEC got it right.

The storm had passed and while the Florida Gators weren't the most prepared for the hurricane, they were the most instrumental in ensuring that the game was still played.

The end of the story gives the credit to the SEC and UForfeit!

If "instrumental" means "tool-like," I would agree.

If it could be done on 11/19...why couldn't it be done on the day it was scheduled!?! Only ONE reason...Florida did not WANT it then.

yep

Fla ends up losing nothing with an extra home game next year when this is all said and done while LSU loses one next year and gets a crappy schedule to boot. UF wretched out on this whole thing and should be seen as the bitches that they really are.

I enjoy Clay's shenanigans for the most part and the article was good other then mentioning LSU got hosed out of a home game next year, the revenue to the university and the city next year as well as the buyout to USA. fUF swapped home games so that's a wash and paid the buyout to the little sisters of the poor.

The only two good things are the players get to play one more game.

If we crush them like we crushed Mizzou will make me feel better about this.

And maybe some fUF T-shirts being made up. If anyone runs with my idea put me down for a large.

Clay was being a dick about this early on about this when Vitter sent his letter. Came out as a huge bitch. People got on him pretty fast about it. He changed his tune.
