Struggled with 3 walks, probably nerves. Gave up one run and finished with a strikeout. He flashed some very electric stuff. Im excited to see how he settles into his role this year!

When he finds his control, he is going to be so nasty.

I think he had some control issues in the spring as well. I’d imagine he’ll get a ton of mid week work and hopefully be a big contributor in the back half of the season

Yes. Walked 2 more batters. Kids obviously not worth the hype

He’s all over the map but the kid is probably nervous as hell. Give him a break.

Looks like Aidan moffit to me, throws hard but can’t even get it close to the strike zone

Doesn’t matter if you can’t throw strikes. 6 walks in 1 inning doesn’t provide encouragement

Ben broke down the mechanical issue he’s having. Looks pretty correctable.

I had a feeling this was going to be the case early this year. If you watch his prospect videos on YouTube, it’s the same thing, he struggles with the strike zone and benefits from high school hitters chasing pitches out of the zone. He’s gonna have to simplify his mechanics and trust his stuff. He’ll be very good, it’ll take a little time, like
Moffit.

That was hard to watch. I see why he chose school over the pros

Can't throw a strike! Needs some work on mechanics and needs to stop overthrowing evert pitch. Big Ben needs to workbwith him.

Not gonna happen this year, MLB teams knew what they were doing.
