I've seen and heard others on this board suggest that the attendance will be way down, or at least lower than usual. Do you all agree, and if so, what factors will lead to a low turnout? I'm just curious. I'd hate for LSU to associated with a subpar Citrus Bowl attendance. It will be somewhat embarrassing as an Orlando resident.

Ticket sales are slow.
1) flood in August wiped out many
2) Lambeau trip was the road trip for many unless it was a championship run

10am start has many turned off.

A large number are upset with Coach O getting the nod after no search.

If Herman or Fisher would have gotten the job, there would be a great deal of enthusiasm towards LSU football.

Both above posts are the reasons.

- 10 AM
- Flood costs
- Lambeau price
- we hired a shrimp boat captain as coach
- disappointing season finish after with title aspirations

Yeah the 10am start mixed with the disaster that was lambeau had me never considering going to Orlando.

Recent history suggests that LSU has trouble getting up and ready for these earlier games and typically come out flat and lose the game. So I'd figure my pocketbook was damaged enough in Green Bay that I get a pass for skipping this bowl.

Tampa is a long drive, 10 am New Years Eve start, and bowl attendance is down overall.

I think the 10 am start is the biggest ticket killer, besides economic reasons.

These are all good points, unfortunately. I will be there, but hope it's not a total embarrassment support-wise. Citrus bowl may never pick LSU again, at least not for a long time. Not that any of you care, but selfishly I do.

The last update LSU sent out said that only about 4,500 tickets had been sold. That number doesn't include tickets bought from other vendors. Most of my friends who are season ticket holders aren't going. They're still upset about the farce of a coaching search perpetrated by Alleva. We were all hoping for a hire that would excite and re-energize the fan base. We didn't get it.

Wow! That is pitiful indeed. That less than we usually take to Gainesville for regular season game. Oh well. We'll try to have fun anyway.

I as many of you are Louisiana people and take offense to comments made about Coach O. He is the Head Coach at LSU and should have all our support! He is a Cajun like many of us and any offense to him is an offense to all of us!!!

If you're going down to Tampa, you may as well take a left on I-4 and head over to Orlando to catch the game.

It's only about a 2 hour drive.

Dude stfu. There is not a large number upset with Lsu right now. Just the usual miserable azzwipes like you spewing your negativity. It has a huge deal with the time of the game and the distance, as well as lower bowl. I would personally be less thrilled had Fisher gotten the job, but I'm not going to go on here and talk out my arse and lump a large portion. You suck. The end.

Lol. People like you are pathetic. There is a large part of this fanbase excited about our coaching staff. You are a spoiled little pussy.
