Pretty ballsy of Cincy to want Joe around to get a feel for the organization before the draft. Might scare him off.

I'm arguing against him saying that the senior bowl is for players who are barely draftable when thats completely wrong

Why would any first round pick play in a meaningless exhibition and risk blowing a knee out ?

Absolutely not. Headed to the west coast to prepare for the combine.

How will not go to Senior Bowl. No upside. He is #1 in the draft.

The senior bowl is a chance for seniors to raise their draft stock. Burrow has nothing left to show, so going to the Senior Bowl would be a dick move by taking those reps away from other players.

edit: Reading through this thread, he probably should attend but not play.

Joe won't even be at the combine. He has no reason to attend. All he has to say if you want to see what I can do watch the tape.

Lester says he will go, so no reason to doubt he goes.

I don't think he needs to go, but I could see him going just to compete for fun.

Stats don't necessarily equate to best prospect, but Burrow's stats against his competition faced versus Brennan at Hawaii isn't even remotely comparable.

We all saw what happened when Colt played Georgia.. and we all saw what happened when Burrow played Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Clemson..

Colt Brennan was 22-38 169 yards, 0 tds, and 3 INTs versus UGA. A very telling sign, IMO.

Lester loves to take shots at LSU fans, but isn't every analyst on TV comparing Burrow to Brady and Montana now? Are they bias LSU fans as well? I'd think being compared to those two would certainly make you among one of the greatest prospects.

NFL owners are all drooling over Joe Burrow, what will Cincinnati do if they get offered 3 no1 and two no2. picks for Joe?

He is not under contract with the Bengals yet. If he were to tear an ACL in a bogus game, Bengals could drop him like a bad habit. I’m fine with him going to visit, learn some scheme/plans, maybe throw a few practice balls, but strapping up in full contact action is an absolute no until under contract.
