New article on ESPN's SEC blog.
Chasing History
quote:

The only team to come within single digits of LSU (13-0) this season was Alabama in the 9-6 overtime game back on Nov. 5. If you eliminate that game, the Tigers have beaten their other 12 opponents by an average margin of 30 points.

Not sure about this statement but a good article overall.

quote:

Even though the title game is in New Orleans, that’s still not a home game, which means LSU has a chance to win three of its four games against top-5 opponents away from home.

Plus, IMHO, 60,000 of the 90,000 at JerryWorld for the UO game were Tigah fans & they were LOUD. Not a true home field, but the next best thing.

I saw Chris in the NOLA airport the day after the Auburn game. It was the first time he had seen us live all year (which shocked me) and I think it really turned his articles for the year.

From that point on he was beating the LSU drum and if you listen to the ESPN podcasts, he has been touting the subject of this article ever since we beat Bama on 11/5.

Not just Top 5 but Top 3. Even more impressive.

3 out of 4 is correct:
Oregon-Dallas
Bama 1-Tuscaloosa
Arky-BR
Bama 2-NOLA

Edwards had a similar write up on espn insider. He mentioned if we win monday we would tie notre Dame 1943 team with 4 wins over top 3 opponents. I knew we'd have the toughest all-time with 9 games against ranked teams (including rematch), but glad Chris Low pointed it out to the entire nation.
