Garrett: Scholarship offers from pretty good schools
Bailey: Not so much

i still think dixon was a schollie casualty, no matter what was reported
he just didn't have the physical tools for the SEC
the 2 members of the 4 horsmeen are just assholes
the OL will start to hurt this year and next unless our recruits pan out at a very high rate

We would need JJ/JL to both get hurt to become a 5-7 team
I'm not so sure it's impossible for them to both be healthy and this still happens.
I am not and was never - and won't be - on the Z Lee bandwagon. NO need to glorify anyone who hasn't done anything.
I still think depth and competition are the keys to driving one of J Lee or Jefferson into a role of prominence. The now lack of CG tells me that this aspect of competition will be taken away. This was a player, 6 months ago, who many were thinking could earn a starting job.

Just now hearing about this. Is he just transferring or what? Why is he leaving?

did bailey have a BCS offer? honest question
if not, they did not have the "same credentials"
His only offer was Northwestern State. ULM and Tulane showed interest, but did NOT offer him. This is the future of LSU football?

So besides the kid who was obviously dickhard for LSU from the get go not getting offers from Arizona State, etc...........thats about all we got right? an offer list? Cause we haven't seen much on the field correct?
You have to be naive if you think a kid ON CAMPUS practicing with our football team doesn't know what his future holds in the next 2 months when speaking of Z. Lee.

nobody knows
1 story says he was cut b/c lee is better
1 story says he was cut b/c he didn't show enough desire to be the QB
1 story says he asked for his release to go elsewhere

Les can not evaluate OL talent, that is obvious. Hes the only HC I know in CFB who doesn't have a specialty position he coaches. If its OL, I sure as hell hope not. That would explain things though, I guess.
His entire OL class in 06 lost to attrition. Its the either the 07 or 08 class on the way(forgot which one).
Either way, he has too much attrition there. You're suppose to have attrition but not that much. Not a coincidence LSU has been struggling on the line past two years.
Les will take 5+ lineman every year until someone pans out.

IF les cut him for any reason besides breaking team rules, then les is a POS who should be fired immediately

Can Spencer Ware run the option?
does this go for every coach, or just les?

You are assuming he left by his choice which we don't know correct? If this was his decision it's different.

I just think LSU has too much talent and the schedule provides some games where if say Z Lee went pro and JL got hurt (or even JJ) we would still be an 8 win team.
I agree about the competition statement and we all know JJ/JL have been pushing each other as they both want to start. I am not sure who outside of rantards, Tigerbaiters, etc honestly gave Garrett a chance to start.
For many though this could be beginning of the bottom falling out this upcoming season.

OL attrition hasn't affected us really...it will this year
only 1 spot out of 5 could be blamed on attrition last year. the rest were either returning starters (black, hitt, barksdale) or groomed to be the starter (hebert)

heupel ran the spread when it was still new, and OU won with a dominant D (which we don't have)
krenzel was a super-smart athlete who just never developed into a badass QB. he got other D1A offers i know it
