Kinda mixed, but I don't listen to radio all that often anyway. He seems to have a lot of experience and brings a lot of energy.
Just saw what I'm assuming to be one of Hannagriffs relatives on the LSU Facebook bitching about hiring an outsider. Feel for the guy for sure, but maybe he wasn't the best choice.

No ties to La. Horrible horrible horrible signature call. Great voice, but how can he gain the ears of such a family driven state when he had no ties here?
He will be heard regardless, because of the situation. But this isn't a short term job, so why should he get it other than the fact that he has a broadcasting voice?

Great choice. He's going to fall in love with LSU and Baton Rouge, and before you know it, people will forget that he was an outside hire.
