Weren't there rumors about him wanting the Lsu job after Miles was fired?

I'm not saying to hire chip Kelly. He licks his lips too much its weird.

I wouldn't touch him.

Despite the win yesterday, he has been bad at ucla and he was a total failure in nfl.

so was Nick Saban, and Steve Spurrier. Solid rationale there comrade

Saban was a failure in the NFL too.

I wouldn't call it a total failure. He went 10-6 in his first two years at Philadelphia, and made the playoffs, which is better than a lot of other college coaches who made the jump.

This is irrelevant to his ability as a college coach.

He was better in the NFL than Saban.

Imagine for a moment that the coaching were reversed yesterday. Chip had been at LSU since 2016 and O at UCLA. How bad would we have beaten UCLA?

Yall are fricking stupid. Chip Kelly has been awful at UCLA. That's what makes this such a bad loss. If this were his Oregon teams it wouldn't be a bad loss really but he has been terrible at UCLA.

His record al UCLA is terrible. No coach can win without player advantage. This year he has a group of 4th, 5th, and 6th year seniors that is why they are better than previous years.

I don't want Kelley at all. I was just vaguely remembering something about that.

I am on board the lane train

I'd take Kelly in a fricking heartbeat.

In fact, I'd trade both coaching staffs, top.to bottom, right now.

This is what I love about this forum. The direct back and forth is awesome. Appreciate the lack of heavy handiness from the mods, even though I’ve been banned idk how many times.

That said, I agree with you. Kelly has been awful at UCLA. As bad as O has been outside of what we now understand was a complete anomaly of a year, Kelly has been worse. This loss is easily in the top 5 of our worst ever.

He wouldn’t take the job
Picked UCLA over Florida because he doesn’t want crazy pressure and easier to recruit there

He has had a total rebuild at UCLA. He has done it right and will own the conference sooner than later.

That was his signature win during his whole time at UCLA. Against a 5-5 LSU team.

Chip Kelly basically ripped the "House that Jim Mora built" to the foundation. UCLA is one of the few places where a three year teardown doesnt result in a coach firing. You are seeing the results of patience.

How many top 5 classes has UCLA had in the past 10 years? Teams like Texas and LSU are full of talent therefore we expect to finish in the top 10 regularly.

Saban was bad in the NFL too. Guess he is a bad coach too?

No. Those rumors were from the rant. Don’t believe anything that originates here.

General rule: if a poster leads with “I heard...” and provides no link, it’s complete bullshite.
