Yall have to check out this highlight video of Rivers. Rivers
The guy is a damn good passer. I'm sure it'll be about 2 years before we actually see him start, but damn... im impressed.

Having guys like him in the wings makes me feel really good about the future, as well as next season

what do you think about the funky release and wobbly balls?
Posted on 2/12/11 at 12:17 pm to TenMan
quick release, but low. looks like it effects his velocity.

The first Steven Rivers hit piece.
Way to be ahead of the curve.

not really a hit piece, but worries me a bit. I just wonder if that will fly ( no pun intended) in college fb

His throwing motion is just like his brother's. It aint pretty, but it's effective...

Kid is a playmaker! He is very elusive despite his size. Not afraid to step in the pocket and throw the ball downfield. Passes arent always the prettiest but effective. Also, hopefully Coach Krags can coach him up in terms of technique. I am excited he is a Tiger.

He'll be on the sidelines for 2 years and then surprise people. With some size and knowledge with the headset for a couple of seasons, he will not disappoint.

Very good footwork in the pocket though..

His throwing mechanics are garbage, but he has one hell of a pocket presence.

What's that? signed JJ

He appears to be much quicker than his brother. His brother looks like he is walking in quicksand when he runs.

from what ive read/heard hes really raw (no homo) but could be reallllly good down the line.

The same that I think about his brother. It get's where it needs to go.

Who is #22 receiver and where is he going?

Two things that stood out in the video, that LSU has lacked the past three years at QB:
1) Touch throwing the ball
2) A football IQ
Rivers will be a good one by the time he leaves LSU.

Ugly release like his bro. But if it works who cares. He does move well in the pocket. 22 was good. Obviously they were the offense.

At least we know we will be okay a at QB the next five years. Mett for 3 and Rivers for 2.
