Dilly dilly. I always hated Miles and was hyped about some of the choices for replacement. I was a Fleck guy as were some others and in general didn't like how Aleva handled the process. It was almost like a rush to hire O just to say we got our guy rather than interview 4-5 top candidates and then decide.

Anyway, O is a smarter and much better version of Miles. He's a CEO who happens to be a great position coach (Miles was none of this). Again...I believe he is smart and did well this year in game Managment.

He needs good coordinators as do most coaches. I don't get the hate on him. If he'd never coached at OLe Miss and failed we'd be loving him, but b/c he failed at one of the worst SEC programs over the past 30 years it seems we discredit him.

LSU was the only school that did hire him. After taking over two unranked teams on the skids as the IHC and leading them to national rankings and bowl games he would probably be getting many looks if he was not the LSU coach. Arkansas would have had my bet as his landing spot but with so many openings there is no telling.
