That might backfire. Remember which team has the grass eating coach. (of course it would be fun to see all the trick plays)

Teams did it to us too on ocassion, believe it or not.
It's infuriating, but it's within the strategic confines of the game, imho.

You have to ask it very slowly

I guess by definition it's not "cheating" but it's bush league as hell, which is why I wasn't surprised when Berkeley did it. I will be very unhappy if the Tigers fake injuries just to get free timeouts.

People saying the hurry up is a gimmick offense sound like a 90 year old cotcher complaining that the forward pass ruined the game of football.

It's not cheating but it is cheap. You can do whatever you want to win but its a matter of how you do it, whether its the right way or the sissy way by faking injuries

The Jets do it the NFL when someone is having success with the no huddle.

Do what you gotta do within the rules IMO. How do you counter a no huddle fast paced offense? Slow them down.

Both the auburn replies ("yard work" and "speak slowly") made me laugh. Well played, it's pretty sweet that I can post something and get 20 replies in 10 mins. Solid board!

Also, good point that there are lots of shady things that happen in football. This just seems weak in a sport that typically is not. But clearly, I'm very biased on the matter.

I actually did a google search to try to find this on video. I love JH, and miss him as a Tiger, but I definitely hope we don't have to resort to that kind of crap to get the 'W'!!!

As many of you probably know, many teams faked cramps to slow down Oregon's O. Pretty pathetic if you ask me, but I'm not exactly unbiased. To your conference's credit, I don't think Tennessee or Auburn did. So my question is, how will you feel if lsu employs this tactic? Is it cowardly or crafty? And since I know you guys are so fond of links, here's a video of Cal doing it. (LINK ]

Wow, I followed that link and found another video from the same game. This couldn't have been a cheap shot by the "classy" Oregon Ducks, could it?

I might be remembering incorrectly, but didnt Cam lay on the ground a few extra seconds on one play, only to pop up like nothing was wrong before someone called an injury timeout?

You want to know what a better question would be. Is it cheating to wave you hand for a fair catch below you shoulders and then run for a touchdown. Remember that one? Cheating or smart?
