Chipper?? Really?? Lmao sorry that's some gay shite but anyway did you not read my post or can you read? Cliff Harris would not have made that much of a difference anyway. Like a previous poster stated "chipper" lol knows he stands no chance of winning without his boy DT
You are an embarrassment to what is otherwise a pretty intelligent fan base. Are the rest of you LSU fans annoyed to have someone like this represent you? I know every fanbase has it's idiots, but still.
I'd call your argument that Cliffy is only suspended because Chipper doesn't think he'll help retarded, bit that wouldn't be fair to all the retards out there. Are you aware that he may be the best kick returner in all of college football? He was a consensus all American kick returner last year. He is also by far the best CB on our team. Espn projects him as a first round pick if he leaves early next year. I could go on and on, but I imagine this is plenty.
DT is playing because he did not do anything worth getting suspended for. There is not a coach in the nation that would suspend any player (backup kicker or starting QB) for what DT did. Pull your head out of your arse and imagine Patrick Peterson in a similar situation and Miles's reaction.
Want more proof that chipper is willIng to make decisions detrimental to the team?
Exhibit A- booted Masoli off the team with only an unproven soph and a senior with 3 knee operations in his past as replacements.
Exhibit B - benches Legarette for 8 games for socking some shite talking redneck up in Boise (if you're gonna talk shite, at least keep your helmet on, or hands up). Lmj was a frosh then.
Exhibit C - Benches our best linebacker for this game. Then again, if you don't think Cliffy will help UO win, you probably don't think our starting middle linebacker would have either.
I'll stop since it's way too long of a post already. Just one more request: stop talking. If not for my sake, for the sake of your fellow LSU fans that don't want your ignorant arse representing them.

All good. As a Gaucho I had to clear our good name. I hate those Internet gangsters. Hope he's not a fellow duck.

That's Santa Cruz, not Santa Barbara. The schools could not be more different. UCSB is the gauchos. Listen to Jim Rome for 5 minutes and he'll mention it.

yup.
came to snoop regarding the bar fight, now I check in all the time. good stuff.

good stuff, everyone.
The point that missing Cliffy is more important now that Lee is starting is a good one.
Kiko is suspended "indefinitely". Most people thought he would play against LSU after seeing him practice with the 1's and 2's, but apparently he was spotted wearing a practice jersey leaving a closed practice last week. It would be awesome (for us) if Chipper planted it, but I doubt it. Not his style. He'll probably be out for another week or two (If we don't use him for you, we don't need him for any other OOC games). He wasn't on the official 2 deep either.
I know there's lots of disagreement amongst you guys, but as an Oregon fan, I am happy to not face JJ. Take that for what it's worth (not much).
Huff is supposed to play, but there are lots of rumblings around Eugene that he's not 100%. He's been limited in practice for months with various ailments. I expect him to play but not be 100%. He's listed as the starter.
To be clear, I have no inside info (or LINK's to reference) so take everything I say with a grain of salt.

importance of missing players
Posted by gaucho85 on 9/1/11 at 1:16 am
5 key players missing:
LSU - Dworzsyzkszsykzsyk, Shep, JJ
UO - Kiko, Cliffy
How do you rank them in order of importance to this game?
My rankings per team are the order they are listed above.
Hard to rank all 5 at once, but I'd say Dworac is 1, Kiko 2, Cliffy, Shep and JJ more or less the same.
Cliff is much better than Kiko, but to win, we have to contain your running game, and that is Kiko, not Cliff.
Hopefully we can do it again in the NCG with both teams at full strength.

In all actuality this argument is pointless because chip Kelly will want to win at all cost even if it means playing a kid who should not be playing.
Wait, what? You do know Chipper is CHOOSING to sit our best two defensive players, right?
Was this a joke, or are you really that dumb? Don't reply, let's just pretend you were joking and move on.

AU runs a HUNH offense and had a couple of teams fake or exaggerate injuries to slow us down last year. That is why AU fans do not approve of it.
LSU fans don't want to paint themselves into a corner in case someone on their teams utilizes this approach.
Makes sense. Thanks.

is it low brow when a boxer takes the full 8 count before continuing to fight?
As a boxer, I'm happy to weigh in. No, it's not. Not against the rules, and not looked down upon by fellow boxers.

So speeding up the tempo isn't cheating, but slowing it down is?
According to the rule book, yes, that is correct.

I hope we curb stomp Oregon so all you people will leave.
you prefer your board to not have opposing fans? I appreciate it when they come to ours, assuming they have some sort of insight to add. I don't think you represent the majority of folks here, but if you do, I'll bounce.

Wow, I followed that link and found another video from the same game. This couldn't have been a cheap shot by the "classy" Oregon Ducks, could it?

Yeah, that was pretty bad, no excuses. I don't think we were known as a team that took cheap shots, but your point is well taken.

Its not cheating but it sure is hell would be embarrassing to be rooting for a team faking injuries. Leave that stuff to soccer and the NBA (flopping). Don't bring it into football.
Yup, good call. I shouldn't have said "cheating" in the title, I should have said "cheap" or "bush league" or whatever.
Both the auburn replies ("yard work" and "speak slowly") made me laugh. Well played, it's pretty sweet that I can post something and get 20 replies in 10 mins. Solid board!
Also, good point that there are lots of shady things that happen in football. This just seems weak in a sport that typically is not. But clearly, I'm very biased on the matter.

An LSU fan playing the Willie lyles card against Oregon? I didn't see that coming, haha.
Also, I think it's a personal foul before it's delay of game, but probably neither. Worth pointing out the cal coordinator who took the blame for it got canned in its wake. So i think generally it's at least frowned upon.
I wonder if I asked the question differently to the Auburn fans or if the opinions just differ from fanbase to fanbase.

I hear ya. This wasn't meant to be a leading question. I think you can make arguments for both sides. I asked Auburn fans the same question pregame, and they were almost unanimous in calling it cowardly, which I found interesting.
Cheating or crafty?
Posted by gaucho85 on 8/29/11 at 11:17 am
As many of you probably know, many teams faked cramps to slow down Oregon's O. Pretty pathetic if you ask me, but I'm not exactly unbiased. To your conference's credit, I don't think Tennessee or Auburn did.
So my question is, how will you feel if lsu employs this tactic? Is it cowardly or crafty?
And since I know you guys are so fond of links, here's a video of Cal doing it.

Is it injury or OTF stuff?
OTF. He's suspended indefinitely, for acting a fool while drunk, but unlike Cliff, Chipper never ruled him "out" for LSU. I was 99% sure he'd play a couple days ago. damn that 1% !
my bad. misunderstood.
we wont stop the run, but we will contain it if you can't establish some sort of downfield presence. People remember Stanford smashing us a couple years ago with Toby Gerhart, but they forget that Luck was money whenever they needed him. If Lee can keep the LB's honest, you will probably win. If not, probably not.
Speaking of linebackers, latest rumor is no Kiko Alonso. That is huge. He may be our second best defensive player (behind Cliff). Very bad news, if true.
