It is not the fact that he wanted to be HC ..it was the fact that he was disrespected by Alleva. I know for a fact that he and Alleva have been at odds ever since Alleva became AD.

3 hours ago I was at a reception in Nashville, the family of a current defensive starter said it was a done deal, he is returning.

That's just as funny as the OP. The defensive coordinator and the athletic director have beef?!?

That's interesting because I just talked to my friend who is a defensive starter as well and he said that he thinks chief may be gone

Why would Chavis be mad he doesn't want to be a head coach. Second no we wouldn't make Cam the head coach. Third we wouldn't move Wilson up to OC.

idk, if Miles had left, i would have seen this is the most likely scenario

So let me get this straight... It's well known that Chavis has never wanted to be a head coach. And if Miles left, our plan was to move Cameron to HC and not Chief because we know he doesn't want to be a head coach. Yet that's somehow disrespectful to Chief? If anything that's being thoughtful and not putting him in a position he doesn't want.

Oh and you didn't confirm shite in the OP.

I laughed and agree but for me it's the most ridiculous thing I've read in a week. OT included

Though I'm sure it will be written off as such, I swear on all I hold dear I'm not trying to troll. Just reposting here what Ive said on te A&M team board.

I have a friend who works in the A&M AD on the recruiting end. Nothing high level but he sees a lot of mail, forwards a lot of calls and has alot of contact with the players, coaches and recruits. Last week he told me he forwarded a call from Chavis to Sumlin's office, and today he told me that its all set up for Chavis to announce the move after your game this week. He wanted to coach the game, but the biggest holdup to an announcement involves his desire to bring his current staff with him.

I would be skeptical, but this matches up very well with what our 247 board and Texags are reporting. The mods there are heavily implying there is a very hush hush deal in place with Chavis that is likely but not assured yet.

Well I just talked to my ex wife who's son caddies for the chief and he said, by the looks of the chief's golf swing two weeks ago that chavis to the Aggies is a done deal.
