I think the BAMA DC, Kirby Smart, will go to Georgia after the BCS NC game is over. I look for him to announce the next day.

If this is the case I wish him luck and I think he will do a great job for them. I can't say that I think it is a wise move for him to leave Alabama for a lateral position on the Georgia Staff but to each his own. He may be hooking his raft to a sinking ship with Georgia but I think he is a great coach that will make a great HC one day.

I think you are looking to deep. I remember a recruit being asked why did he choose Miss St over Ole Miss. He said because they had Number 5 availible. Some things are way easier than you think

I think Richt's seat is as hot--if not hotter--than Miles' seat. This move would make no sense if that is the rationale to support it.

not really a lateral move when everyone in the country considers it Saban's defense.

Is Saban playing vs Saban since both Mushchamp and Applewhite coached for Saban?

Why is this? DL hasn't exactly been dominant under his watch.

He should've thought about that before taking the job at LSU.

Chavis will be here next season.
Miles will be here next season.
Crowton will be here next season.

Have a couple of drinks, and let life move on.

This.

Muschamp did the same thing to get out from under Saban. Everyone knows Saban's DC is an empty title and a learning position. Time for Smart to prove he can stand on his own.

Yeah,
1. - how to coach college football, and

2. - what he's going to be doing the next year.

People on this board know neither 1 nor 2.

It's not really debatable. Richt cannot endure another season next year like the one they are finishing up. On the other hand I would suspect that 9 or 10 wins next year will be plenty for LM to hang on.

Coaching for Texas against him equates to being his puppet DC?
