transferring after the season is fine, but doing it mid season is a disgrace.

Yall should really listen to wades’ press conferences before commenting.

Manning was processed, wade told him to leave if you listen and read between the lines.

He was obviously a locker room cancer.

I’m not saying you’re wrong, but he seemed like the complete opposite last year.

Listen to the Press Conferences prior to and after the Ole Miss game. It couldn't be any clearer that Coach Wade, and the team, are happy with Manning's decision.
It appears that it wasn't entirely Manning's decision.

I know it’s true. I just would never have guessed this last season. He never seemed like he had a poor attitude. He was totally committed on the defensive end.

I did t listen to either press conference. What did Wade and the team say that made it seem like they were glad that Manning was gone?

Wade has mentioned that there were locker room problems that surfaced during the Spain trip(year and a half ago). He said that there has been a lot of work done over the last off season to remediate the issues. Part of this has been the player leadership groups headed by Watford, Smart and Days.

Perhaps, Manning did not get on board with the program!? I am sorry to see this because Manning could have helped the team this year if he is playing at his best. But, I think that Wilkinson, Gaines, Leblanc, and Cook getting more playing time to replace the Manning minutes could be very
helpful for the program in the long term.

The stuff some of yall read into things

He was joking with Ron Higgins (editor of Tiger Rag) about getting rid of "negativity" because Ron has been questioning some of the issues (namely poor defense).

Manning left because he is a senior and was watching his minutes dwindle. Namely because Wade wants to get Gaines in the game more...and you are seeing why. Manning was a solid player. Unfortunately, he had some bad luck which allowed other guys to pass him. He would have been LSU's primary 6th man, if not a starter in SEC play last season if not for the injuries. He was really having a good year up to that point. Then, this season he has some injury issues early in the year which allowed Wilkinson to slide into the starting 3 spot. While not the scorer Manning can be, Wilkson does a ton of tough work inside with his athleticism that Wade values. Thomas and Smart have been two of the best scorers in the SEC. Days is LSU's best rebounder and most efficient player. Once Gaines emerged (at least in Wade's eyes) the minutes for Manning were starting to go down. You could see it in the progression from A&M to Florida to Georgia.

He decided that as a senior (albeit one that gets another year) he would leave now and look for a new landing spot for next year rather than stick around and be LSU's 3rd or 4th option off the bench. He probably expressed some unhappiness about his minutes to Wade and both guys decided it was best for him to move on if he wanted "starters" minutes. That's why LSU was quickly able to pick up a transfer with a similar style to Manning.

This was another direct quote from a press conference after Manning left:

Will Wade: "We're very in tune with our team chemistry and body language. We had more positive energy in practice today than we've had in a month. That's not a coincidence."

No, I didn't listen to the press conference. But he's made multiple statements to the effect that there was some addition by subtraction. Were they all jokes?

FWIW, Musselman and Arkansas have reached out to him. Though after reading through this thread it doesn’t exactly give me the warm fuzzies about him
