I know this goes against popular thinking but if Okie State beats Oklahoma (doesn't have to be a blowout like some are claiming IMO) and Clemson beats Va Tech, I'd be surprised if Okie State didn't make it in over Bama. They'll be #2 in every computer poll.

Dismiss what Gundy is saying. He's just keeping his team focused for the game this weekend. He'll be pushing hard for the NC game if they win on Saturday night.

Their resume will be much better than Bama's and I think the anti rematch/SEC sentiment will heat up around the country. Most of the nation will be watching Bedlam while Bama sits at home.

The weakest link in the chain is the Clemson win. They are playing bad football right now and Va Tech appears to be playing better than anyone outside of Bama and LSU.

I still say if they win, the voters will put them in. The computers love the Big 12 and they will have won it. Bama is clearly the second best team, but they had their shot at LSU at home and couldn't get it done.
Ok State deserves their shot if they win the Big 12.

I am not sure Bama is the lock ESPN and everyone else thinks. It is nothing against Bama but more against the SEC as a whole.

For Bama to make it, the entire voting public has to completely discredit every other conference champion in the nation. A vote for Bama is a vote for no matter how good you are if you are tied with an SEC team with one loss you are not as good.

Will the pollsters look at wins or losses to make the decision? If OSU beats OU and the voters care more about wins then OSU is the clear favorite. If OSU wins and all the voters care about is losses then Bama gets in.

Personally I think if OSU wins this week they are in just do to the fact that a Big 12 vs SEC match up is better for college football than a SEC vs SEC match up that we get once a year every year.

I just have a hard time believing that a Big 12 Coach when it matters will discount his league so much that he would rather see a rematch of a boring game vs Champ on Champ for the glass ball.

I agree with Clemson being the weak link...but its still the ACC and if Clemson shows up they could make it a game. I sure hope my Okie St. reserves pay off and I think they were well worth the gamble for needing only two games to go a certain way.

I think OSU chances are gaining momentum everyday. Everyday that goes by I hear more media types coming out against a rematch. All the voters need is any excuse to avoid a rematch. If OSU gives the voters a choice the chances a a rematch greatly deminish.

Yep. I said there would be a building backlash against Bama this week. The SEC bitched in 2006 to get Florida in over a rematch of Ohio State and Michigan and the SEC needs to uphold the standard that they pushed for in 2006.

0% because of the ESPN influence on the voters. If all they here is Bama this and Bama that I don't see anything changing IMO

If they win convincingly over the Sonners, they have 55 percent chance of going to the BCSNG. I think that a lot of people do not want a rematch and OSU gives them an "out" from a rematch.

LSU fans want so badly for it to be OKst, I almost hope they win just to watch this board meltdown we got in over OKst.

Meh...I don't think there will be a meltdown. We are just irate that our team has to take the long arduous route to the championship, while Bama can just kickback and wait for the championship.

Slim and none and slim just left town.

Yes, the computers like OK State more than Bama. Even though Bama is leading OK State right now by .020 in the computers, it is likely that OK State will move ahead to 2 on all 6 computers provided the Cowboys beat the Sooners.

However, the computers are just one-third of the BCS. And Bama is way ahead of OK State in the other two-thirds of the BCS: the coaches poll and the harris poll. So, if OK State blows the Sooners away, say 52-28 (defense wins championships, but offense wins voters), then the Cowboys can make it close. But I do not envision them passing bama. There would have to be a groundswell of anti-SEC and anti-rematch bias in the media for it to happen.

If they win close against oklahoma- 25% chance
If they lose to Oklahoma- 0% chance
If they blow out Oklahoma and they have the whole 4th quarter to campaign- 60%

Most people dont realize that they play last before the bowl games. They will have the last say before the voters go to bed. If they blow out Oklahoma, I believe they will state their case. They will blame the plane crash and say they won their conference championship game. It will have to be a strong win to push them to #2 though.
