wow! I couldn't be happier for Chad. He's been a great Tiger, and I'm sure he'll be a great Giant. What a great story and testament to his character.

Geaux Chad!

Thank you very much for sharing this. It's great to see him doing so well with the rehab. I remember watching him and was at the game in Tuscaloosa in 2007 when he sacked JPW and forced the fumble and LSU came back to win in the last seconds of the game. He is such a stud. Thanks again!

When Chad Jones jumps in the pool he doesn't get wet, the water gets "Chad Jones."

On his 23rd birthday and 1 year & 3 months after his accident, Chad Jones ran a 4.84 40-yard dash today!

This gives me goosebumps to read and see the picture. Not sure what his goal is or the Giants' expectations are in that department but I sure as hell hope he gets to play in the NFL someday.

I saw him approximately 2-3 months ago on Magazine Street and he had a pronounced limp and seemed to be struggling to walk. Hard to believe that in that short period of time, he has progressed to where he is running a 4.84 40. Unreal! would love to see him make it in either football or baseball.

Side question: does anyone know the connection with St. Martin's/why he was running there?

what would be considered a super fast 40, for an nfl d-back?

Definitely below 4.6. But you have to look at the severity of the injury + the short period of time recovered. I ran a fricking 4.9 in HS as a line backer an that was good (in HS). This dude was facing amputation at one point and already surpassed average speed.

This is is why I think he will be better player than before. Dude has tiger heart. That gets you places. Think brees but knocking people's heads off.

Can someone request a sticky, this is kind of a big deal for people who care. (I'm on my phone.)
