do you think that miles knew that chavis would be here this year? pelini was just hired away one year to quick and being a very loyal person he let two long time assistant coaches show what they had?

i think this because chavis is a perfect fit at LSU IMHO.

Let's see..was it not Chad Jones who caused a fumble on a sure TD on Bama's fist drive of the game in 2008? And, was it not Chad Jones who broke up a sure TD early in the Peach Bowl versus Ga. Tech???

While there were numerous defensive problems, Chad Jones wasn't one of them.

Pelini was the glue of the 2007 defense.

Yeah him and a couple of pretty good corners, and hard hitting safety, and A Highsmith, and an offense that stayed on the field longer and didn't give up a pick six every game oh and some DT named glen... but other than that he was the glue.

im a big chad jones guy, but 2 plays in 2 years =/= stud material. hell, d-hookfin made 2 plays in his career. chad has a ton of potential and incredible ability, but its time for him to deliver on all the promise. i think he will thrive under the chief

Finally, god damn it. It took 3 coordinators to finally realize it? Ive been saying this since he was a freshman. With his size, speed, range and athleticism you have to play him at FS, not SS.

You have to be an idiot if you think Chad has only made 2 plays in his time here. Jones has made some monster plays during his time here even with two idiots at the helm last semester.

And you could have given all those weapons to the co-coordinators and we'd still finish 9th in SEC scoring defense.
