I hope these 2022 4 for 4s sue the ever living frick out of the NCAA, SEC, BIG 10, ESPN, Paul Finebaum, etc
This. If they get locked out due to punitive rules put in place by the conferences and the CFP, I hope they go scorched Earth and take a bite out of the profits. The institutions fricking up the sport deserve to have a bit of a reckoning.

The CFP will not be punishing players, but the institutions. So unless the schools sue the CFP I don’t see how they can fight this
Who's being harmed the most by the rule in the end...the player.

This will get adjudicated in federal court.

It's not a 4 team playoff any more. If LSU only has 1 or 2 losses at end of season and they're not in the playoff, there's no defensible reason and media won't be able to help themselves. The playoff committee will be asked questions, and if they're self-righteous enough to reject LSU over this after allowing Michigan and rejecting FSU in 2023, then they'll be arrogant enough to brag about why they rejected LSU.
Brother, they literally left last season out 10-2 Vanderbilt, 10-2 Notre Dame, and a BYU team that was 11-1 in the regular season. Like you said, we've seen them leave out an undefeated Florida State team due to an injury to their QB. They can do what they want.
By the way, if you're arguing that it's fine that we could get left out of the playoff because then we can sue and win damages, you do realize that still means we'd have been left out of the playoffs, right? That's not a good enough recompense to justify it.
Personally, I think these players should be able to play. I think they got screwed over by the NCAA. I hope they win. I also think that if I'm LSU, the risk might not be worth the reward.
