CFP ranks every Ohio State win higher

than the AP poll and most of LSU’s lower than the AP poll.
LSU’s wins (AP/CFP):
Florida 7/9
Alabama 9/12
Auburn 11/11
Ohio State’s wins:
Wisconsin 10/8
Penn St 12/10
Michigan 17/14
Cincinnati 21/20
LSU’s wins (AP/CFP):

Wisconsin lost to unranked illinois.
Mich was in a dogfight with army and gt blasted by wisconsin.
Penn State is okay.

All the AP pollsters and the coaches feel that LSU is the #1 team with all things considered (and there are a lot more of them than the playoff committee members), yet the playoff committee votes otherwise for a 2nd consecutive week. Hmmmmmm.

At least they have enough sense to know that Florida and Alabama are better than Wisconsin and Penn State.

But the fact that the AP and the coaches both have LSU at #1 is a different argument.
The AP pollsters were dumb in 2003. LSU played two common opponents with USC and LSU beat both by 1 point more. They didn't make much sense. Ed Orgeron won three SEC games at Ole Miss from 2005 - 2007. Times change and people change. Same thing with the AP voters.
