You must not have read the entire post...

Tonight, Minnesota and Michigan will drop. Bama will drop but not out of the top 10 and Auburn will move up.

If chalk holds this weekend, UGA will drop, but not out of top 10. Baylor and Wisconsin will drop allowing UF and Auburn to jump into top 10.

You're totally speculating. We have no idea what the top 10 will be. We'll see what they come back with tonight.

My guess is this time next week lsu will have at worst 4 top 12 wins, and probably top 11 or better.

Committee will probably keep that joke of cinn ranked at 25, to prop up Ohio's resume. Texas, a&m, state, and OM would be heavily favored over cinn.

I think it is fairly easy to predict tonight's rankings.

So you hang your hat on groups of people voting, yet disregard the CFP.

All I said was the metrics and polls overwhelmingly show Ohio State #1. You disputed that. You were wrong.

Yeah, I’m not sure about that but one thing I am sure of.... Aubbie, Bama, and Florida would all absolutely boat race Wisconsin or Penn State anytime, any place.

You don’t get to trot out obscure computer models that fricking no one looks at and give them the same weight as broadly accepted polling that has been in place for over 80 years. That’s like a Bama fan touting the 34 natty’s bestowed upon them by the downtown Tuscaloosa touchdown club.

That shite doesn’t work here.

You might want to take a peak at cinncis sched. Lol. Not sure who their best win is either 3 point over south Florida, or 3 over east Carolina, or 2 over temple.

Both south fl and east Carolina finished 4-8.

Sure we do. It'll include OSU, LSU, Clemson, UGA, Utah, OU, Alabama, Baylor, Wisconsin, and Penn St/Oregon.

Considering who plays each other this weekend, if chalk holds, it'll open the door for fringe teams like UF and Auburn.

The committee does look at them. And has talked about them many times.

Just because YOU don't look at or know about them doesn't mean people that truly evaluate college football more obejctively don't.

So 1 top 10 win for LSU and 2 for Ohio State?

Oh, don't get me wrong. I know the aren't that good and agree Texas or A&M would have steam rolled them in September - and the notion that Ohio State beating them is somehow of greater quality than our Texas game is beyond laughable. But Ole Miss is still Memphis' bitch and State nearly lost to USL then.

Right now, OSU has a significantly better overall SOS than LSU (26 v. 62). But like you said, a win over UGA would likely give LSU 4 top 10 wins to OSU's 1. Also noteworthy would be 2 of LSU's 4 wins would have come away from home, while OSU's lone win would be a home win.

We don't know now, and will never know, how the individual committee members rank things.

For example, does the committee view a road win over a top 20 Michigan the same as a home win against a top 10 UF team, and therefore OSU winning by 30 is way more impressive than LSU winning by 14? Or is a top 10 win, regardless of home/away, a much better win?

The committee could simply say that they believe (whether you and I do or not) Auburn/UF/UGA/Michigan/PSU/Wisconsin are all a wash or close to it, and the Bama win is better than a 2nd win over Wisconsin.

Then maybethey go to the next metric, which you call the eye test and for simplicity I'll just call it MOV. OSU looked more impressive in their wins over Michigan/PSU/Wisky (round 1) than LSU has against UF/Auburn/Bama.

I will just say that if the committee wanted to have a rationale for moving LSU ahead of OSU this weekend, I would have thought they would only have moved OSU ahead this week. Moving OSU ahead last weekend after a somewhat ugly game against PSU indicated to me that they wanted to move OSU up and keep them there. Following that flip OSU has a 30 point win over a top 20 team on the road, which theoretically should have widened the gap in a way.

If I was the committee I wouldn't have moved OSU up last week, moved them up this week, then watched the games this weekend to switch them back

TLDR; Moving OSU up last week makes it difficult for me to see LSU moving back up after this week

Yes..but the best wins for cinn was over horrible south Florida and east Carolina. They don't have a win over a top 50 team. The fact than cinn is ranked is LOL.

We do know what the score was the last time that fl team played Michigan. I think fl just scored again. Has harbough won any big games? Michigan is a joke, as is Penn State.
