FWIW.....

Joe Burrow hit half of his passes in LSU’s 38-21 win over Louisiana Tech. That’s a big deal considering his accuracy issues so far, but with Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Nick Brossette combining for 214 yards and five touchdowns, the passing attack was along for the ride. LSU got up 24-0 before taking the foot off the gas, and Tech got within three late. And then LSU tried again, and the drama was over. The positive? This team has that ability to flip a switch when it needs to.

That's one really positive way to look at it.

I'd really like to stop taking the foot off the gas. We play these games to get better, not sleepwalk through a second half.

I would love to know the amount of dropped passes we had. I agree accuracy needs to improve but statistics don't account for passes that should have been completed with ease.

We're practicing for when we have to take our foot of the gas later in the season against Bama and Georgia. It's such a skill!

I keep asking why we dont use these as practice.

Why do we run 3 times inside the 10 when we can practice passing in the redzone. Joe didn't have a td against Tech but could have if we had diff playcalling.

Another positive is we won. A lot of schools can't say that. V-tech, TCU, OK St, and Miss St......got beat by unranked teams. The playing field is leveling in college football as weight rooms and trainers spread out.

Don't forget the 25 scholly limit per school for recruits is gonna do that as well in the next few years.

All second rate programs. LSU is above these programs and the expectations should be as well.

The players themselves are saying this after games. I suppose it can become just as frustrating for them as it is for the fans.

Ok ok I get it. You would rather LSU "practice" something than score touchdowns. Is that how you became a Madden legend?

You do know you have to 'practice' running the ball too. Right?

Preseason AP Top 25

I will save you from having to click on the link, lunatik, you you jackass.

16-TCU
17-Virginia Tech
18-Miss St
24-LSU
25-Okie St

Take this pill, LSU is not a championship team. Not this year. Even though I cheer them on like they are. The "we are LSU, and should kill everyone just because they put on the uniform" crowd needs to STFU.

Burrow's accuracy is not the problem. he is not perfect but he has been plenty accurate. Oline play is going to limit how long he can hold the ball before he throws it away, wr need to catch the ball, and play calling needs to pick up.

4 were drops.
4 thrown away.

I’d just the drops were caught, he’d have been at 71%.

First of all, on any given day.....anything can happen.

From what I have seen it is:
bama

Ga
osu
clem

then a whole bunch of people, including LSU.

It can happen, and i will cheer for it to happen, but it ain't happening. Just trying to live in real life.

I don't see Bama or Georgia teams ever having the need to "flip the switch" when they need to.
