CFB Pickem News: JoyBoyNika sits alone at the top with 61 users within striking distance

JoyBoyNika is now the hunted. Despite going a paltry 6-8 last weekend, he sits atop the leaderboard all by himself with an overall record of 74-39 (65.49%). Before last week, there were 32 users within five games of the leaders...now there are 61 users within five games...so things are tightening up.

Techdave leads a trio of users one game back, while mikedatyger leads a slew of users two games back. LSU Kerry leads a throng of users three games back while atllsu leads a horde of users four games back. And powerlineman leads a gaggle of users five games back.

Despite going 6-8 last week, defending champion HarryBalzack improved to 1101st place. Don't count out two-time champion TedStickles, who climbed up to 337th place. Crowd-favorite GoldenBoy continues to blow, dropping all the way to 717th place. And the controversial Lester Earl did not play.

Shoutout to Djhossfly, who went a sizzling 13-1 last weekend for the top record in Week 8.

For those chasing the leaders and looking for inspiration, perhaps these words from Ludwig Wittgenstein will help: "As long as you believe, hope has somewhere to live. Trust yourself and keep looking toward tomorrow."

Here is the Week 9 slate:

Missouri at Arkansas
Wisconsin at Iowa
Northwestern at Oregon
