16-28 passing.... 4 drops & 3 throwaways, that I remember..... Do the math

Because receivers are having a hard time getting open, and usually he's under pressure because the OL didn't hold up. The Auburn game was the only game where our OL was holding up the opponent's pass rush too. If he was truly holding onto the ball too long too often, he would have been sacked way more than 7 times in 4 games.

Joe Burrow's timing has been off at times. He has surely held onto the ball too long at times. That timing is part of the reason his receivers have had issues as well.
Some of that is receivers not getting separation. Timing can also have to do with route running or receiving Corp being jammed at the line.
His biggest negative has been the ability to find the throwing lane on screen passes.

Unfortunately the OL has suffered severely from guys missing PT due to injuries or suspensions.
Saturday night there was no Ingrsm, Charles or Magee and then Brumfield went down.
It would be safe to say that WR finished the game with three predicted starters gone and perhaps a fourth.
This won't get better over night.
Missing Chaisson on D is telling too. We need more from our pass rush. We need to affect the QB more.
Giles just doesn't seem to have what it takes. He isn't sure handed and he doesn't get open that often. We lack a guy to take the top off the D. Chark is sorely missed.

I'd agree with this, and probably why we havent seen even more screens despite a struggling OL.
Still, no idea why we cant throw WR screens. Have to help a struggling OL out.

The good news is LSU is 4-0 and has yet to play a solid 4 quarters for an entire game. The bad news is we're 4 games in and LSU has yet to play a solid 4 quarters for an entire game.

LSU has earned where it currently is by literally beating 2 top 10 teams.
When are you people gonna stop sucking that "two top ten teams" tit?
We're 4 weeks into the season and you dummies are clinging to that shite like it still matters.
Talk about how shitty your offense is and why that makes lsu a top five team in number only.
shite, Kentucky would beat this lsu team.

You know what matters?
Being 4-0.
Being 4-0.

Yea, does this explain why we should be ranked #5?

Shelvin hasn’t been needed, at least not yet. Alexander is getting strong 2nd team reps at NT, and there are times we go to just 2 DL when there isn’t a nose in the game all together, so they are getting rest. I’ve also notice Lawrence there on occasion

We were supposed to be deep on the DL coming into this year and they're playing less guys than they did last year

Agree with everything except the first part of the first sentence of point 5

burdman - this is spot on.
We've played 2 or 3 good quarters in almost every game and gone through the motions in 1-2 quarters each time out.
This is one of those things that can be really really good, or REALLY bad.
If we play 1 bad quarter against Georgia or Alabama, we might get hammered.
Having said that, if this team can learn how to play 4 quarters of good football.... then we might actually be a Top 5 team at the end of the year.
