Wrong. I just bought a 12 pack at Dick's Sporting Goods. I start playing in March. Can still drive 300 yards at least once per round.

Zach, even if the Cents pull a win out of their arse today or tomorrow it means nothing, so I don't know why you are ranting here like a tard? We lost a number of games last year and still won the National Championship. You won a number of games last year and 99% of the country hasn't heard of your school or your team. So, go rant somewhere else. Because picking fights on here is where the opposition goes to die. A win by your team in February over our team means nothing, zilch, zero, nada.

I agree. The big mistake in athletics was when Hal Sutton's dad forced the school to equalize funding for all sports instead of concentrating everything in basketball. Then the feminists took over and athletics went down hill. That was in the late 70s and early 80s.

Robert Parish was quite the player. I remember watching some very good Centenary basketball teams.

playing baseball for CC. Quite an achievement. LOLZ!!!

Actually graduating from CC was a bigger one. Where is your degree from? LSU? I've got one of those, too.

I've already explained it. And you've just proven my point. Thanks.

CC finished 19th when he was a senior. The other poll wouldn't rank us anywhere due to probation. Slim was a great guy. Not really bright but attended class every day and was a genuinely nice person.

I will never forget a pickup game during the off season between us baseball players and some basketball players.

After a few passes I found myself with the ball at the free throw line with my back to the basket. Was thinking about a hook shot or turnaround jumper as I dribbled. But when I looked back, Parish had switched over to cover me and his stomach was at my eye level. I passed off.

I, too, watched Robert Parish play several times at CC. He was a pretty good outside shooter, but he did not want to get underneath the basket and fight for rebounds. He was so skinny that he couldn't hack it under there. He was taught the rebounding game after he got to Golden State and put on about 40 lbs.

He became one of my favorite players in the pros.

Zach, when did you go to Centenary? My wife graduated from there in 2002. I somehow managed to get her to wager 5# of crawfish on the series.

She does have a penchant for hassling me over Centenary's shutout of LSU in football in like 1924.
