I called it. On Sunday. Media so scummy it is easy to predict their moves
They are just a couple days earlier than expected but really it is not the only hit piece out this week so far
I still expect something bigger before the end of the week

Well media I hate to tell you but it’s your fault for making Kiffin the biggest story wherever he goes.The media could’ve chose to make Leavitt the biggest story, but they didn’t.

They are the ones writing the stories. Not Kiffin. They make it about him and then bash him for it. Make that make sense.

It always has to be Lane Kiffin. When Vanity Fair came to Ole Miss this offseason, it was to profile the Rebels' exciting quarterback. The same offseason, they traveled to Baton Rouge. There was no love for quarterback Sam Leavitt, star tight end Trey'Dez Green or linebacker Whit Weeks. Of course not. It was Kiffin, Kiffin, Kiffin.
At Ole Miss and now at LSU, I don't remember Kiffin ever "making" it about himself. He simply is who he is, and it's the media that takes what he says and does and then runs with a narrative.
Brash? Yep. A bit immature earlier in his career? Absolutely. Bad personal choices that lead to undesirable outcomes? No argument.
But in all that hogwash, what you didn't see was Kiffin beating his own drum to every media talking head and network shamelessly grandstanding for attention. He may have brought that attention on himself, but he wasn't out looking for it (at least not that I can recall).
Welcome to the new media world, where everyone has to have someone else to hate because rage and anger generate money. And if you happen to NOT have someone to hate, the media is more than happy to find someone, somewhere, that will offend you enough to become engaged and give them clicks/viewers/subscriptions.
Yuck.
And get the frick off my lawn.

These sport writers are completely lazy in their reporting, research, and intentionally leave out facts. Just regurgitate the same old themes...Lane is bad, no morals, only cares about himself...just for clicks.
