Don't know about the rest of you but I prefer ABC and ESPN over CBS in regard to televising LSU games.
Time and time again, CBS causes us to miss plays or parts of the play and the announcers are the worst in my opinion.
Maybe it's just me but seems like Gary Danielson is always favoring LSU's opposing team when he comments during the game.
ABC coverage used to be the best, but ESPN is quickly emerging.

Not just your opinion, baw. They are actually the worst.

Edit: two days in a row people downvoting me saying CBS/Danielson are the worst. Change my mind?

This is a legend that has grown from a vocal minority of TD posters.

They are a good crew.

It's not just you. A lot of people seems to have the same ridiculous opinion. Serious question, do you honestly think that Danielson, or any commentator for that matter, care enough about LSU that they actually want us to lose? They're probably just like the rest of us and have 1, maybe 2 favorite teams and couldn't care less about the rest. No commentators are pulling against LSU. It's truly an absurd idea.

Every ESPN game we bitch bc we're forced to watch some team kneel out a blowout win while we miss the first quarter of our game. CBS doesnt have that problem

This. The only one that overtly worships one team and its coach is McElroy.

Even with McElroy, he's usually very complimentary of LSU when he talks about us when it's warranted.

I'll just say everytime we face a good opponent and CBS gets the game at that God Forsaken 230 slot...we seem to lose. Now I'm sure someone has stats showing the wins we have at 230...but I'd like to see the Top 10 head to head wins we have on CBS. I'd be surprised if there's many. I just feel like CBS jinxes us. Plus for years of having to listen to Danielson and Lundquist seemingly hate on LSU...it's kinda rubbed LSU raw a bit. Nessler is better than Verne IMO at being more impartial...Danielson still has some issues with LSU...I wish he'd just come out and say why the hate exists. It's probably just drama to make people hate him more...and get ratings.

Serious question

Serious answer. I think there is a difference between "pulling against LSU" and calling the game without apparent bias. For example, think about Verne's "OH NO" call on the LSU interception vs bama.

Its all about tone and the inflections of the calls in big situations. Its undeniable that they favor teams like Bama / UGA in the way the actually make the calls.

Very rarely do you see or hear them pumping LSU or using inflections on big LSU plays. I don't think they have some grudge or want them to lose, I actually think it stems from the fact that LSU can't be trusted for the better part of the past decade. You literally dont know what your going to get game to game (unlike the stability of an Alabama for example.)

good grief - Gary Danielson is the best analyst in the country.

And he's got no bias for or against LSU. He's from the midwest and no dog in this hunt, other than wanting the SEC to be very good because those are the games he works.

Will you please list an example of what he's done to make you believe this? I would like to hear what it is you're considering as him hating LSU.

I will say that when Fournette was dragging Auburn defenders all over Tiger Stadium a couple years ago that Verne and Gary were both riding LSU's nuts the entire game.

My interpretation is far different. I think Verne's "Oh no" was because Reid literally stole that pass, and Verne was thinking the catch had been made by the Bama player but then no, Reid took it away.

Danielson is the worst. He gets the players names wrong a lot as in combines from one player to another to get a hybrid name, such as "Devin Phillips". He needs to do his homework.

Perfect example. Verne initially called the play a completion and then when he realized it was a great play he said "Oh no" as in he got the call wrong, not as in "Oh no" it was a good play for LSU.

Thats fine with me.

I never get the warm and fuzzies from CBS anchors about LSU in these prime time games. Never have. Again, I really think it has to do with our instability the past decade as a team/offense.

My biggest gripe with CBS is the amount of breaks and the length of the broadcast. It would be nice if they could lean it out
