CBS Broadcast, worst ever?

I usually focus on the game and don't care who the announcers are, yesterday was so bad it was impossible to ignore. Many factual errors, 2005 game chat was hysterically incorrect, and then that BJ they gave Peyton for the whole 3rd quarter was ridiculous. They just chatted over the game like 2 old maids at a quilting bee, pay after play was run with no comment about the game.
The 8th team announcers we usually get saddled with for the Arky game were better than these 2.

I enjoy listening to Verne and Gary but the Peyton Manning shite was aggravating. Certainly after we score they're just like "Oh and LSU just scored."

Totally, agree..if CBS wants to compete with ESPN, they better go get some better announcers. That was ridiculous...and for the second time, Danielson stated that Ware was not in the same class as Richardson...WE NEED TO CALL HIM OUT ON THAT ONE....I don't know what was worse, the commentators, or the officials...SEC OFFICIALS ARE THE WORST IN THE NATION....its pathetic...

Manning was witty as hell and I usually HATE him.
He would instantly be the best color guy in the business if he stepped in the booth full time.

No kidding
I really enjoyed that drive while Manning was talking
shite, he is a Tenn guy and he was basically praising how bad arse our program is. Definitely complimentary of the LSU program.

my god, yall bitch about something new every fricking day. the game was out of hand by the time peyton got in the booth so why not talk for a little bit? hell, he gave praise to lsu. yall should love him for that, right? i dont get the lsu hate towards manning. all because he didnt come here. anyone who gets pissy over that needs to move out of the state for a little while.
verne is pretty bad at times but when we're in the spring, winter, and summer, id give anything to hear that guy laugh at something stupid. why? because its become a part of what sec football is i think.

they have gotten progressively worse, with many factual errors and what not, but i do have to say, Danielson is one of the better color guys in terms of actual football strategy and knowledge... sure they get their dates mixed up, and sometimes mention the wrong historical person, but overall, i like Danielson....
now, as far as Verne.... he can choke on a dick... and i thought he was going to yesterday when Peyton was in the booth.... i mean, c'mon man... he was basically about to pull Peyton's pants down and fellate him right there!! "you can come back anytime" and "i'll pay to have you up here" and what not.... jesus christ, verne!

Danielson is the best color guy doing college ball. He's insightful and honest. But sometimes he doesn't think something related to LSU is as great as we want him to think it is so that makes him terrible!

Payton was starting to compliment Miles on how he keeps the team together and Gary just cut him off and was very rude about it. Not long after that, Payton started taking shots at Gary.

Not any worse than usual. As a duo I think they're above average. Gary is great, but Verne is starting to show his age. Think Andy Rooney 6-7 years ago.
In-booth in-game interviews always suck - it's hard to avoid that there's a game going on. Painful, painful to endure, even if it's someone you want to listen to.
I did like the facemask touching issue that Gary brought up. That's been a pet peeve of mine for a long time. Didn't get any legs, tho.

I do not mind the announcers at all. The only complaint I have had with CBS sec day game coverage for a couple of years now is they need to get better cameras. Their HD cameras are the worst in the business right now it seems.
