I'm gonna try to put a positive spin on this.

Josh D(best Oline player in 2010)gets a chance to get more playing time and improve draft stock.

Vadal Alexander gets a chance to contribute right away.

Les and Coach stud have to give more attention to the Oline, allowing Krags to primarily work on playcalling/offensive gameplan

Improves chances of Chris Faulk returning for 2013 season.

Do we know whether his injury happened during the game? If so who replaced him? Or maybe at practice?

So with only 1 game played, does this qualify him for a medical redshirt?

I assume you said "frick it, I'm too lazy to read the article". Your answers are within your reach if you make the effort.

Probably won't matter since he is only a junior. Would only play one more year anyway before going to draft.

Meh. The young guys are physically superior by a country mile. I would hate to lose the push inside @ LG by moving JD to guard, if that were the concept would be better putting Collins or Vadal at LT and get the learning curve cranked up this week. I don't see JD at tackle at all.

he played there in scrimmages during fall camp, and has played it a little before. so I think this may be what happens. I've always thought tackle was likely his best position anyway (pre-knee injuries anyway).

I agree that Josh D is not nearly an ideal option at Tackle - the problem with trying Alexander at LT now is that Hurst is dinged up and I expect he will need more relief until he recovers. So, triage might be Collins at LT, with Josh D at LG, OR Trai Turner (if he is more ready to play than Alexander) at LT and keep Collins at LG.

Josh D is about the only guy who, if pressed, could play any position on the line, but I would not be comfortable with him at tackle, particularly left tackle.
