Cauble should stick to reading sports on TV. Go ask Nick Saban what his idea of a trick play is and get back to me.

Plain ole, "grown man football" is playing for its 3rd championship in 4 years...its still the best way to play...we just have to do it better than we have the last few years.

You're joking?

So the only thing separating us from Bama is plain old execution?

ETA: And it was a Clemson coach that called out our offense about misdirection first, not Cauble.

Nothing wrong with grown man football. We don't need to be Oregon or Clemson or TAMU. We need to be effective and keep the defense on its heels. We need to attack all sides of the field at all levels. We get stonewalled at the LOS too much with the RBs and OL we have simply b/c the defense knows what's coming.

Plain ol grown man football isn't what LSU plays. LSU plays were going to run until you stop it and then panic when you do. Alabama's offense is worlds better than ours, yet we still almost beat them. Should tell you something.

Can't disagree with any of that. You say those offensive ranks and people say it's a lack of execution. Well 5 years of "lack of execution" is a major coaching problem.

also well said and very true.

Yep. Plain old execution. Plain ole better blocking, better throwing and better catching. That is what makes good teams good...no matter what it says in your rantard primer.

Come on man. I don't necessarily think we have to trash a pro style system but there's so much more that can be done with it. There's no creativity except a minor thing like the pass to Dickson during the game.

The OL is terrible with their technique and need a full time OL coach. The OL has the size, strength and speed. They deserve better coaching. It is time to shake things up and allow a real OC to produce. By the way, I'm a huge CLM fan! LSU is stacked, need to take the next step towards domination!!

I'll accept that. What is your answer to, what should we blame for 5 years of poor execution?

So bama will constantly run up the middle on 3rd and short when the opposing D is stacking 10 in the box? Is that what they do?

I agree they have a more veteran team and execute better, but like Cauble said, when you are THAT predictable, you leave yourself very little room for error.
