Sounds like it isn't your thing bc i didn't say every spot. 2-3 kids yea but 10-12 LA kids on a team like LSU isn't happening. There just aren't enough players good enough in LA to do that for a program like LSU. It's the same in every sport now because of these dumbass transfer rules and NIL. For instance Tenn has 1 player in their starting lineup from Tenn. Their championship team last year had 4.
You're making up an argument to argue an against. The guy never say most of or half or gave any specific number the roster needs to be filled with LA kids. He simply said some key components of the roster with LA kids who grew up dreaming to play for LSU. And I think almost anyone would agree with that on here in the sense of the culture aspect and teaching the out of state guys what the culture around here is truly about. It's a pretty unique place here with very rabid fans and thats a wake up call for a lot of guys who were never around that growing up.
In the end, having some blend of MLB type talent from wherever (here or elsewhere) to pair with solid college contributors we can also grab locally is a great blend for a team here. Its not to say we should take marginal LA talent over MLB out of state talent, we never are going to build a team with 35+ pro prospects to begin with, it's just about tooling the roster right with enough local talent to positively impact the team culture, and frankly also keep that dream alive for some local kids.
If you want a team to have a certain type of culture, you have to build the players around that type of culture. Tennessee is built around a culture of a douchebag obnoxious head coach a lot of the players take after that attitude. That works for them as annoying as it is for the rest of us but it can be different wherever.

The point I was making which apparently you are to stupid to understand is that our championship teams all had a similar core of Louisiana players who played vital roles. We have a similar makeup on the current roster.

Better with Mitchell still lived here and was in person. I feel like he doesn’t talk as much.
That and the audio is horrible when he talks. If you listen to this podcast like I do, it sounds like he's in a bathroom taking a shite and the microphone is 30' from him. It's a great podcast. The least they could do is to get him a better mic.

yeah his audio is terrible which is why I think he doesn’t talk as much the delay and audio issues.
but they had an ask mike and mitch where they went on about why some guys can’t just throw high fastballs and really was a very technical answer.

MO it's important to have key components of Tiger teams filled by Louisiana kids that always dreamed of growing up and playing for LSU
You said it with this dumbass take.

Another dumb take.
There are 40+ players on the roster and maybe 8 LA kids are contributors with maybe 4 giving you significant innings. How is that a dumb take?

We're talking contributors, not bench warmers which proves my point.

Keep showing your arse bitch boy. Just to refute your stupid post that championships can't be won with more than a couple of LA kids on a LSU roster. There were also 14 LA natives on the 2023 championship team.
But yeah...it can't be done anymore. Gotcha. I rest my case moron.
Who is the retard with the absolute shittiest take here?

I'd paint the street with your little sweet arse so pipe down.

8 of whom did anything significant. With a few of those on the team before NIL and the transfer rules. It's much more difficult now which is a fact

He mentioned everyone hates the bullpen.
Major renovation is coming next year again.
One two pitchers can warmup
The 3 mound setup is kinda odd. They should have just done two. I never assumed that the bullpen was the final form, but most here seems to assume that it is permanent. I figured it was a temp bullpen until they do more upgrades down the road. The first step was getting it off the field which is what Jay wanted.
Also, I didn' here him say everyone hates the bullpen. He just said the RHPs (especially tall ones) can't use the mound closest to the field; only LHP use it. He said they like being in there bc it's hidden. In fact he was saying he wanted to go hang out in the pen during the tuesday games even though he wouldn't pitch.
