. Some of you have no clue about the NBA.

Marcus Thornton made it with no D. At least this kids can play D which a lot of team covet. This dude can also score the ball.

CJJ has made a real player out of this guy and most of this team. He has been coached up very well. He has gotten better and better as the season went on.

Let's not act like this year there are a ton of great players around the country. This is a very bad year for college basketball as far as stars are concerned. I'm not saying he will be drafted especially with a back injury that someone mentioned earlier, but I can see a lot of teams that can use a player with his skills.

only problem is he's not a point guard!

Disagree completely. Who did we have bringing the ball down the court to end the game against aTm? He is a point guard. He averages point guard numbers in assists and can handle the ball well. I think he is better at PG than at SG. Love his skill set, but Im not sure he could play professionally with his injury trouble.

Marquis Teague is backup pg for the bulls. I think carmouche could make his way to a backup role. The injuries really hurt his chances tho but who knows maybe he has a great workout with NBA teams and convinces them he can play. He sure is old enough! Besides he will have a masters

but ultimately in terms of playing for a few years, it will be most likely in Turkey, or somewhere else over seas

Carmouche isn't as good as Dee Bost was (PG from Mississippi State last year) and Bost is playing in Montenegro now.

Ehh..Thought the chances were slim for Garrett Temple...he was also younger than CC coming out of LSU...I believe CC is 24? Anyways, he has an even smaller shot of getting there...wasn't as long as Temple...as defensive minded...or as smart..but theres always a shot.

You do realize that Marcus Thornton was the best Offensive player in the last 10+ years at LSU right?

This

From what I've read, he has a very serious case of tendinitis in his knees. This will probably be his last year of playing competitive basketball.

You do realize that I never denied MT's offensive talent. He was not a complete player though. And, he's listed at about 6'4".

This, if you want to hold on to the dream, you play D-League and make about the same money you'd make coaching Southeast Middle School with the hope of getting an NBA call up.

Go overseas and you can make 6 figures, tax free with the team covering your living expenses while you are there. You can build a nice nest egg overseas and make nearly NBA money if you get to a top league.

Depends on how you are hard wired. If the NBA dream is strong, you take TE D-league peanuts because when an NBA team needs a 10-day guy, they aren't flying your arse down from Serbia.

Garrett Temple has made it in the NBA on defensive prowess alone. Carmouche isn't as good as Temple defensively, but he is much better offensively. Having a mixture of offensive weapons and defensive desire and ability can get you to the NBA, but with the amount of games played, I don't think Mouche could be a regular in the NBA due to injury.

I doubt Carmouche himself has any NBA pretensions right now. He's performing like you'd expect a senior to; he's playing with pride and savoring the last few moments of his college career.

No sir, I don't think you do. Carmouche averages 10 a game and that is after he dropped 20 or more over the last four. He is inconsistent and streaky. His defense isn't as good as you think. But the bottom line is that comparing him to Marcus Thornton, who was the best pure scoring SG LSU has had in years, is dumb. Simple as that.

Nope. He scored 16 in the fist game and 19 in the third game. He came in as a scorer, check his UNO numbers.

All and all, this guy won't be drafted and will make a living in Europe or not playing basketball
