Cardinals have officially used up all of their available draft money.

Not that there was a lot of sweating to do, but the Cardinals have signed pretty much all of their draft class and none of them signed for a significant amount under slot.

They could offer cam 400k before being forced to lose draft picks, which is reportedly well below his asking price.

You have to imagine if his number wasn't so high he easily could have gotten over 1M based on where he was mocked. Possibly even 2M.
So yeah settling for 400k at this point doesn't make a ton of sense but stranger things have happened.

I felt like the Cardinals were calling Cameron Johnson's bluff and drafted him anyway. I assume CJ had a numbe out there and did not get it. If he had a change of heart then the Cards got a steal...

It only makes sense to take a flyer if you think you can sign one of your higher picks enough under slot to make an offer of at least a million. A guy who has first round potential is basically never going to sign for 400k.
