But let some outsider media guy bash him and feed into the "Nobody likes Kelly" (which hurts recruiting) myth, and this board can't wait to rush tin and agree.

Y'all are pathetic.

And F-U, usa today.

It's a positive story poking at the anti-Kelly crowd and "unlikeable" narrative.

It also states that he's building a good team for next season to compete for the SEC.

Congrats on the lack of reading comprehension.

All this success in the portal is just going to make you realize even more, that BK is not a championship calibre coach. He is stuck in his ways. He only knows one brand of football and he is behind times. I give him 2, maybe 3 more years before LSU pays him off. LSU can't afford to pay him off for at least that long.

I hope you are right and Brian Kelly makes me eat every single negative thing I’ve ever said about him. This article from some guy at USA Today doesn’t really do much for the though.

It's more fluff than substance, but he does hit on a few of the portal additions. As for Kelly, I try to be honest in my assessment. I've been very critical of some of his bad moves in hires or lack there of (dedicated ST coach). I think he is making the right moves with players and staff now, but that doesn't guarantee it will pay off.

Until he wins opening weekend I will hold a level of skepticism.

I can read. Do you have a big enough brain to know the difference between getting played and getting trolled?

Moscona had him on his radio show and the writer -- somebody named Blake Toppmeyer -- showed that he too is part of the anti-Kelly crowd. He enumerated the reasons why, he thinks, nobody likes Kelly. It was the same crap LSU fans have to hear all the time.

This guy wasn't writing a fluff piece about the 2025 season. He was lamenting how he was going to suffer watching Kelly win. He was teeing up that narrative for the rest of the country.

That's lazy, click-bait writing. There was no reporting involved, just a rehash of the same old tired stereotype Kelly stuff. We need to hold these media types to a higher standard.

I believe that BK has improved the team personnel. There are still at least 3 holes that need major repair. but BK has improved the overall team.
However, with a very difficult schedule in 2025, imo, there has to be a major change in two distinct areas. Our offense needs to be recalibrated, not abandoned, but modified to stop being so dang predictable. Do something out of the ordinary at different points in critical games. Our offensive line and RBs have to get on the same page. Our RB's have to know better what the Oline blocking scheme is, so they can react/hesitate/explode at the proper time. Our Oline scheme has to also be adjusted so that they don't just zone block on every single running play. Pull and cross block on occasion so the defenders don't know our plays based on how our oline blocks. LBs are reading us darn near perfectly on every running play.
Lastly, we have some talented pass rushers. Watching other teams success in pass rushing, it is clear that the blitzes are coordinated with Dlinemen creating space for LB's or DE's to loop/blitz through. I don't believe LSU does this at all, as our rushers seems to dance with Olinemen and occasionally beat them on the outside. I am just hoping for more planned coordinated pass rush.
I also have little hope that our OC, OL coach can take us where we need to be to be a national contender, but I'll gladly admit it if I am wrong.
If these things change, I think LSU has the talent to have a great year next year.

I think the teams gonna be better. The problem stands that you have to knock off 3 of the following, to have a chance at the playoffs.

1. Clemson
2. Ole Miss
3. Bama
4. Florida
5. South Carolina

I tried to rank them in order of best to worst. Who knows how the SEC teams will shake out. Ordinarily I'd say that playing Clemson first gives you a better chance to win. Problem is, they've not won an opening game yet.

I was all in on 10-2, but now I think I've talked myself into 9-3.

Go to ourlads and take a look at the Ole Miss, South Carolina, and Alabama rosters and see what they're losing. Ole Miss is losing 18 starters. That's not a typo.

Tiger fans are savvy. We didn't know anything about baseball until Skip arrived and we really didn't know football until Nick arrived. We've been at the top of the mountain and unfortunately at the bottom of the valley so our opinions are significant and should be respected and I'm not getting that vibe with Kelly. Do we want the king of the scratch and dent sale? Can he stitch a NC team together?. At his age? He is too concerned about his custom tailored wardrobe than winning
I apologize.

So he would back up his promise? That what this is about? If that happened we would love him.
