Heard on radio Coach O was looking for a transfer DB. Why not Elijah Molden? I’m sure someone around here has a connection to his dad (Alex) from his time with the Saints.

Did Shaun Wade graduate from Ohio St? Seems like a slam dunk

Don’t we have 6 active CBs on the roster that are all highly touted recruits?

I’d assume Flott and maybe Harris get a go at the nickel.

I’m assuming Ricks and Stingley on the outside.

Not gonna assume a Freshman starts. Stingley is rare

Grad transfers can play immediately, regular transfers can't play till 2021 without a waiver

Only recently both Toliver and Donta started as freshman and played a shite ton.

Ricks wouldn’t have started, or at least seen the field a lot until Kary announced. Now I think his length and coverage skills will be called upon if Flott is in the slot.

I'd welcome KV back.

Coach O is throwing some bait. If he can get a HUGE splash to come in at DB, I'm sure he'd be all for it. He'd also consider a solid, experienced guy to come in to compete with the younger guys. In the meantime, he has his guys busting their tails to win those spots so that he doesn't bring anybody in (and I bet it has Vincent thinking twice about how much he might be leaving a hole for his team).

If we have a need, it's an experienced DE that can play the run and pass. O has already said that Ojulari is the guy that will bring the smoke on 3rd down. Not to discount Moore/Webb/Gaye/Anthony at all, but I'd hate to go to Florida still wondering why we didn't grab a DE out of the portal.

Darren Evans from Nicholls state just entered the portal this could be the guy.

From Mikey detillier

Darren is a next level player. 6’2” cornerback with a long wingspan to knock down throws. Tracks the ball well in flight. Former track star at Glen Oaks HS.. 2 1/2 year starter for the Colonels. Wish him the very best at his next college stop.

Well, he certainly has the requirements needed to succeed at FS at the next level. A 2 1/2 year starter that's tall and rangy with long arms to knock down passes as your comments state. He also possesses track speed which is another big plus to get down the field in coming over to assist a CB in helping him in case a speedy WR gets behind him. Yep, sounds like this guy has all the tools.

you haven't seen Ricks, I presume.... he's neck and neck with Stingley, as a CB.... Stingley is more athletic and dynamic, but Ricks shuts down his side the field, just like Stingley does....

Seems like the guy. Wish we could get a quick 10-15 lbs on him but I'm not complaining.

Shaun Wade is the only answer.

Immediate eligibility as a grad transfer. And easily a top 5 CB.

OSU writers are really salty about it too:

Most OSU fans in this twitter thread started by former OSU assistant coach Zach Smith understand and say they would support him like they did Joe:
