Can you imagine a Saban player making gun gestures that costs his team an ensuing TD?

He might have strangled Lacy on live television for that.
What did BK do? Threaten to take away his dessert privileges for a week?

Or Kirby.
Or any elite coach….Kelly ain’t one of them. We just pretend he is because we pay him to be.

I mean Saban would have gotten the refs fired as well. BK isn't Saban.

Wtf is Lacy thinking though. I’ll just pretend to pump a shotgun and blow somebody away. I mean how stupid can you be

It was an awfully stupid gesture when you know that a shotgun motion or throat slash will always get you a penalty. Furthermore, you know he thought about this and preplanned it, which makes it even worse. He played a great game, but that really hurt the team.

That mentality did not just show up in this game. There have been opportunities to address it that were missed or ignored.

To be fair that same gesture was commonplace last year at College and Pro levels. I saw it during other games this weekend where no flag was thrown.
All that said, it was needless.

One of many examples of us being undisciplined that cost us the game

“I play for myself and my image, not what’s best for this team.” That’s the exact mentality. Take this mentality and spread it around and you’ll never have a squad play as a team.

Diamonds realize that’s USC WR did it the drive before?
difference is, lacy did it purposefully towards the usc player.

Great point and no, I can’t imagine Bama doing that while Saban was there. Lacy got a big head stepping into WR1. Keep the confidence, cut the stupid BS.

We stay on the edge of getting an unsportsmanlike penalty. Yapping in players’ faces every time someone makes a play. Hell, Major Burns would do it after getting dragged for a 20 yard reception all last year. And did it over and over. Be a coach, and end that shite.

It's not stupidity, it is the me me me me attitude that is prevalent in todays society. Hell some of our fans don't think it was all that bad and that the refs should be fired. Sportsmanship is gone and its not coming back.

Just because there was a penalty doesn't mean the score was a foregone conclusion. Maybe play better defense next time.
