Les would do a good job. He’ll recruit Texas and if he keeps Tony Hull, he’ll recruit Louisiana.

What is “good” for Kansas? Idk, topping out at 6-7 wins? Sure.

I know it's highly unlikely but imagine the melt here if Miles got the job and ran a sucessfull high powered air attack at at Kansas.

This is the 2019 schedule:
08/31 - Indiana State
09/07 - Coastal Carolina
09/14 - at Boston College
09/21 - West Virginia
09/28 - at TCU
10/05 - Oklahoma
10/19 - at Texas
10/26 - Texas Tech
11/02 - Kansas State
11/16 - at Oklahoma State
11/23 - at Iowa State
11/30 - Baylor
I see around 8-10 losses

He could make them a perpetual 8 game winner. At Kansas that is something.

He’s not going to be able to recruit anywhere near the same level of talent at Kansas, so he’s not going to do very well IMO.

Les has a want and desire to have fine, young, loving men that long to win football games.

I think he could get them to be competitive. Nothing fancy but kids would come to him and the program. I’d expect winning records at least.

Vince Lombardi, Chuck Noll, Tom Landry, Jimmy Johnson and Bill Belichik could not make KU winners.

Now then, were Ceauxch Eaux to go there and start recruiting...that's a horse of a different color, baws...

I don't know a Tiger fans who hates Les. He just needed to go. It was better for both parties.

I think he'll do well for Kansas expectations.

If he goes to KU. I hope he bring in a dynamic young OC that is creative and fun to watch. I would not mind seeing a few Les Miles haters jaw drop to the floor when he succeed.

Why haven't any other schools tried to hire him?

Age? There has to be some reason.

He’d do well at Kansas.

Would they win championships? Likely not, but I have no doubt he’d get Kansas competitive and getting to 7-9 wins regularly and an occasional 10-win season depending on the schedule.

He’d get the program competitive and built back up for their next hire.

If you listen to some of the idiots here on the rant, they'll tell you it's because he sucks as a head coach. Never mind the fact that he has a 114-34 record at LSU and a 142-55 record overall.

That doesn't sound bad to me.

I personally believe it's because of his age. Although I suppose it's possible that he really doesn't care to coach anymore, but he's just going thru the motions that are required of him to continue to receive his buy out.

He did pretty respectable at Oklahoma State while he was there, so I guess he'll do okay. The game has evolved since then and, as we all know, he has not however!

He hasn’t taken any other jobs because of the $$$.., he hasn’t seriously considered any other jobs yet while that $130k/mo has been rolling in.

I always said he won’t take another job until his remaining balance owed at LSU is under $4-5 million. We’re getting closer to that point where he could take another job, payments from LSU cease, but Miles recoup that lost LSU money in one year at another school than over 4 years from LSU.

I imagine Kansas would give him $4m/year or more, so that starts to tilt the scales in favor of him finally pulling the trigger. While LSU owed him $10 million, he would have basically been working for free for a couple years (no better off) had he taken another job. The balance is getting to the point now where he will seriously start considering some $4-6 million per yr offers.

terrible, just like anyone else

but he's super likable and yall would punch people in the mouth. he wouldnt have the resources that he benefited from at LSU. that would be a huge problem
People need to remember just how puke enducing bad Okie State was when Miles got there. That is the blueprint he would use for KU, not LSU

Okie state had 1 winning season in the 12 years before Miles got there, and miles then went 28-21 in his tenure
