Of course. I saw a Vandy team with David Price and Mike Minor not get out of a regional they hosted. All it takes is one arm to get hot and their backs are against a wall.

You remember that 56-4 Oregon St team in Omaha?

Guess who knocked them out?

And yes it happens pretty much every year. Hence why the #1 overall seed hasn’t won it all since 1999

Just win tomorrow, don’t worry about Tennessee.

Even Vegas isn’t banking on them. If OP is so sure of TN then he’d be a fool not to take them +600 right now. That’s 6:1 odds and according to OP you’d think those odds should be flipped, -600

Army last year didn’t lose a sec series and was far and away the number one team in the country and lost in the supers. There is no such thing as an unbeatable team in baseball.

Really?

Yea. Oregon State had only lost 4 games going into Omaha in 2017. Remember who beat them twice to eliminate them?

The 1989 Texas A&M team was unbeatable, some said.

The Aggies entered that final day of the regional with a record of 58-5. They were the consensus No. 1 team in the land, with All-Americans Chuck Knoblauch, Terry Taylor and John Byington

He has actually thrown 105 on several occasions, even hitting 105.5, so yeah.

If you’re talking about a series win I’d say no because we don’t have the starting pitching. We could obviously win a game against anyone (including UT) because we have an awesome hitting lineup.

They are really good but a lot of their run production comes in that tee ball field they play on. If they play someone with good pitching in a deep park I think they’re beatable.

They are on a historic pace. I wouldn’t bet against them to win it all

I would. When have you seen a team as hot as they are early and mid season maintain it or even go on to win a Natty? I can't recall it. I bet you can't count them teams on one hand in the history of college baseball. The majority of times its the very good team gets hot in late april-may or sometimes later that brings home a championship.

We have an extremely deep and experienced pitching staff, but no real studs for starters. That could work against us in super regional, but if we get to Omaha, we should not run out of talented arms.

Sure…if we get a rules exception and Crews/Berry can bat whenever Johnson decides. They have to bat in their lineup spot but Johnson gets to sub them in any other situation.

Last year, Vandy was supposed to win it all. A couple of years ago it was Arkansas. I don't know Coaches can control this but at times, teams peak too soon. I think UT is doing that.

Tennessee is good, but they've looked like a typical SEC team their last four outings.
