Can someone refresh me on why Landon Jackson flipped from LSU to Arkansas?

He made all-SEC second team defensive end this year. The dude stands 6-7.

Apparently, he was not going to see much playing time.
Another poor judge of talent by our defense BrainTrust.

it also got him closer to some family he has in arkansas

he was also rehabbing a high school injury and that limited any early playing time

The SEC coaches named him to the first team, it was just announced. Could have really used his pass rush this year (ie. with proper coaching!).

sometimes defensive improvement is not always X/O's

Imagine a LSU defense with Landon Jackson at DE, Edgerin Cooper at LB and Derek Williams at S

One came to LSU for a year and two are both from LA

watching him Sack Milroe 2-3 times and then watching our defense not come close 1 month later made me really sad

It was 4 times, actually

4/7 sacks this year came against Bama, pretty incredible

But Landon was really lost here his freshman year in 2021. Just was way behind others back then (As a lot of freshmen are). Obviously we had coaching changeover and he was one of the many to hit the portal.

He was a very average player last year at Arkansas. Had a really good year this as a 3rd year guy though.

Mcglothern is still the much bigger loss there, thats one that just truly stings as he has shined big time and our CB play hasn't come close.

BK wax hired on 11/30/21
Jackson announced transfer on 12/12/21
House was hired on 12/28/21

Yea, let’s blame House.

Edited to fix typo

He also went 4-12 in the SEC while at Arkansas, but glad he got more playing time!

Didn’t he miss time this season for character issues as well?
