If there is a mass exodus of players from a team after a coach is fired, how is it that coach's fault? That is college football in 2023. There are daily threads in the Rant inquiring if we should go after players in the portal, or keeping an eye on the roster of a division for who just fired their coach to see if any talent players are leaving.
It wasn’t just a mass exodus after O was fired. The 2020 class was a disaster and half gone before that. The 21 class also ended up having some major holes between busts, dismissals and transfers, as well. Those set the table for the situation to be worse when this was all followed by defections after O was fired.
When you have a program that doesn’t field 85 scholarship players two years in a row, that’s a failure of the staff leading up to the shortfall. You can keep trying to explain it away and shill for your guy, but he and his staff dropped the ball over a 2+ year span. This was NOT a typical coaching transition because of it.

I think it had something to do with his skin condition. He couldn’t take the heat.

This is right
Landon has family in Fayetteville. A big part of his family are major Arkansas fans. Pleasant Grove High School calls University of Arkansas, grade 13 because so many of our students go to college there, so he already had a lot of lifetime friends there. Transferring to Arkansas was going home for him

Sorry but this makes no sense. Why would he commit to Lsu in the first place if this were true?

quote:looks like another one trying to blame Coach O...The kid had every opportunity to stay and chose to leave just like others....so when you say "39 Players" think about that PLUS many that stayed are the best players on the team Coach recruited talented players and that cant be disputed
Transferred out after Coach Zero was canned.. really sucks we lost him. He’s a beast.

That doesn’t fit their narrative
