Out of Ware, Blue, Ford, Hillard, Magee, and Jeremy Hill someone or two need to step up and be the man next season. What kind of rythym can you get rotating 4 running backs? Hillard started to look like he might be that guy. Maybe him along with Blue could give us a good versitle duo. Looks like the RB position never really sorted itself out all season. That RB by committee was to big last season.

Yeah, because being as deep as we are at RB has really been an issue...... IDIOT!

So you started a thread to criticize the one position where LSU was solid from the beginning of the season to the end?

Interesting.

I guess we need to also worry about defensive backs as well... Right?

I actually enjoy our stable of rbs. The only thing it hurts is post season awards because no one back has enough stats to get a ton of acclaim. But in the grand scheme of wearing teams down and winning games, it was highly effective. I loved seeing that fresh back in the 4th quarter motoring down the field with only his 3rd or 4th carry of the game.

The problem is that Lacy looked better than all of them. They are all good, grant you that, but none look elite so far. It's a large group, so can one or two improve to elite level RB's.

If anything, I'd like to find more ways to get 2 of our RBs on the field at the same time. Hilliard at FB, Blue or Ware in the slot, 2 back shotgun, Wildcat with Ware at QB, etc.

Have to disagree with your want. Start off giving them a full load of Ware\Ford. After the opponites defense has been worn down, use the fresh legs of Hillard\Blue\McGee\Hill to finish the job.

Maybe if we throw the ball and keep people from stacking the damn box every play then we may be more efficient running.

Yeah cuz LSU's running game was pretty bad this entire year wasn't it?

you think they wear out that fast? Most backs like to get enough runs in to get there game established and going. Good to have depth though for injuries.

We did just fine with the RB rotation with Lee at QB. Once JJ got in there, the offense went to hell.
