Primarily for comedic reasons. The meltdown would be epic.

Because we have 13 wins, they have technically 10 against FBS teams. 3 wins behind LSU before that game started

We are conference champs

They sit at home tonight as if they earned the right to LSU for all the marbles? are you kidding me?

#1 reason? They are undeserving period!

Welcome to last month.

1. There is no rubber match.
2. The BCS constantly tries to tell us that every game counts when clearly it doesn't.
3 Bama is annoying with their attitude that they deserve a rematch.
4. Bama is gay
5. Bama lost at home
6. The BCS system is corrupt
7. Bama did not win their division
8. Bama did not win their conference
9. There are other teams worthy that did win their confernce.
10. Bama is GAY!!

We beat Bama (who supposedly had a bettter O and D) on their home field.

They didn't accept the defeat then, and still don't now.

I'm not against a rematch in principle, but in this case I don't think its warranted.

How about I don't like Bama??? That's reason enough. Do you think if tables were turned that they would want to play us again???

Simple reason for me. I hate bama. Don't wont anything good for 'em. ergo don't want 'em in.

because LSU's offense isn't good enough to beat Alabama plain and simple. especially now that Jordan Jefferson is King.

I do think that LSU could beat Alabama again just because their defense is so outstanding, but they will have to rely solely on the defense and special teams to win because Jefferson won't be able to do anything against them.

I honestly have ZERO fear of LSU playing the Gumps again because I know we WILL win the BCS Championship regardless of who we play.

I just don't want to see another boring defensive (game that might potentially come down to winning by fields goals only)again. That game was not exciting at all. I want action when I watch a football game. We blocked a field goal, but their defense held us off. We got 2 interceptions, but guess what no TD out of either of them. That game was a snooze fest.

I can't speak for others, but that is my only reason for not wanting the rematch.

Bama beat 3 teams with a winning record and OSU beat 8 teams with a winning record. OSU won their conference with a huge blowout of a highly ranked team. Bama had their shot and lost at home.

I think this is the reason. If roles were reversed most here would be saying the BCS is designed to match the two best teams for the BCS NC blah blah blah.

Bama is in the group of fanbases whose sense of entitlement is sickening. If they are able to go to the BCS Championship without winning their division or conference, it just plays into their sense of entitlement. It's as though it should be a foregone conclusion for them each year, and I hope LSU fans don't ever get this way (although I can already see it happening as Curley Hallman, and Dinardo fade into the recesses of the mind).

Bama is a great program historically and a reason the SEC is respected around the country. That said, when they fail in the conference, they shouldn't get rewarded for their failure. They lost on November 5th. They shouldn't get to play for the title.

I don't want a rematch first and foremost because I don't like Bama and don't want the Gumps in the MNC game.

But here are my logical arguments:

1. LSU beat Bama in Tuscaloosa.
2. Bama is not a division champion. LSU is.
3. Bama is not a conference champion. LSU is. So is Okie St.
4. LSU had to play an extra game to get to the MNC while Bama sat at home with their collective feet propped up. So they get rewarded with a bye, and for what? Losing to LSU?
5. If they go to the MNC game, their loss to us is meaningless. Their failure to win their division is meaningless. And their failure to win their conference is (largely) meaningless.
6. As a result, Bama in the MNC game is wrong and unfair.

That said, I have no fear. We beat Bama if we have to play `em, and we beat `em worse this time around.

But if they make it to the game, I'll be ticked.

Because the media loves bama ala USC a few years ago. Lsu is hands down the best team, but somehow to them bama is.

We gain nothing with a win over Bama. We've already proven to be their superior. I'm not interested in playing a team we've already beaten.

1. A rematch is terribly unfair to LSU. Why should LSU have to prove themselves again against Bama? If Bama wins, what reward does LSU receive for having to face a team they've already claimed a division (and conference) title over? Why should AL claim a national title over that team?

2. It's unfair to Oklahoma State who beat more Top 25 teams and who won the title in an Automatic Qualifying conference. A Bama rematch means that winning any conerence title other than an SEC title is meaningless.
