They are replacing a ridiculous number of starters on offense and defense, but suddenly people think they are like bama and simply reloading. They will lose to LSU and Bama 4 sure for Ole Miss will not be easy nor will Auburn and Arkansas is always a toss up for them. 9-3 to 8-4 is most likely record with slim chance at 10-2. Not bad at all and JImbo has them playing much more consistently. However, they are not really title contenders

I think it's the Jimbo hype.
I felt like last year was more of their year, and they got screwed by Covid. Everything aligned for them going in- heavy senior team, a couple years into Jimbo's system, weak as shite OOC schedule.

They actually have most of their defense back and 3 players who are possible first rounders next year. They’ll be formidable but I still have my doubts about Jimbo’s system being elite in this league as more teams get film on him. They have looked horrendous against us our last two matchups. They took advantage of a down SEC last year due to the chaos of covid with a ball control offense that kept their defense fresh. To win big, you have to be high powered on offense with dynamic receivers. He doesn’t have that now and never had it at FSU. College football is vastly different since he won his title.

TAMU is going to be a bust! Look at Fisher's record and when doesn't have a proven QB, his teams go in the tank. IMO, Fisher is the most overrated coach in the country! He had a .500 record in ACC play during his time at FSU, in a state that produces on average more 4/5 star recruits than any other state in the country!

Ummm, while I agree our run game was awful, it was our defense that lost us several games. Oh and an inexperienced QB. If we had a decent QB, we beat aTm.

I will not recognize any hype, nor put any stock into a program that’s best SEC finish was 3rd place in a Covid year. They have never been to Atlanta, and until they do, they will not be with any hype.

They have a defense and Jimbo is a big name. Plus, a big market team.
