CBS is saying it's a definite possibility for Gus to leave for Arkansas. They said Auburn will go all in for Lane Kiffin. If this happens, next year we will have to face:

Miami: Mark Richt
Florida: Dan Mullen
Georgia: Kirby Smart
Auburn: Lane Kiffin
Arkansas: Gus Malzahn
Alabama: Nick Saban
Texas A&M: Jimbo Fisher

This schedule is brutal even with a seasoned QB and a proven coach. We enter next year with neither. Thanks a lot Joe Alleva.

I really hope the rant doesn't turn next season narrative into "its a rebuild"

Considering this year the narrative turned into its a rebuild

It’s going to be interesting when O and the local media start talking about how much we lost from this year’s team. Especially since the reason we struggled this season was due to “having to play so many Freshmen.”
I bet these same freshmen will still be young next year.

Yeah, orgeron is a different coach here than he was at ole miss. He has two of the best coordinators in the nation, and our 2016 recruiting class (juniors next year) was ranked 2nd in the nation. Thats always a good sign

He’s signing some studs up front and that’s a very good sign. I’m not sold on him yet and the Canada situation will tell us a lot but there’s no doubt we’ve improved since he arrived.

Exactly. We lost a golden opportunity to get Brennan some meaningful playing time after it was obvious our ultimate goals for this season were out of reach.

Who knows, Brennan may have connected on those bombs to Chalk in Bama had the reigns been given to him after the Troy loss.

I do not like Saban but I do like how he benched his struggling 5th year senior in game 1 of last year for a true freshman. Coach O hasn't shown he has the guts to make a move like that. We still do not know if Brennan has a short-term memory after throwing a pick because he has never taken a subsequent snap.

Coach O is an awesome motivator and a solid rep for LSU. However, if he continues to coach scared, I'm afraid we are in for some disappointing seasons ahead.

Miami: Mark Richt
Florida: Dan Mullen
Georgia: Kirby Smart
Auburn: Lane Kiffin
Arkansas: Gus Malzahn
Alabama: Nick Saban
Texas A&M: Jimbo Fisher

How are we going to convince a top 10 coach to come to LSU after O's contract and compete against this lot?

Coach O's fate at LSU will be decided in late November of 2019. He will not be let go before that.
