I don't, maybe a few, but after the TD pass in the 3rd (which was a nice play by him all around), his accuracy kinda went to hell. it's ok though, he'll improve. as will #12.

and I'm not necessarily talking about you

its a trend (in general) that has just grew and grew since Ole Miss

I see by this thread it has started to dwindle quite a bit, and that makes me proud of the rant

Lee had a HORRENDOUS freshman year (still better than the freshman year stafford had), and lost almost all fan support. he faced alot of adversity and was thrown into a situation he shouldn't have been in (as did JJ).

I hope in time JJ can earn so much of the praise he got last year and has been getitng this year

the peach bowl was a damn good start

and you completely lose the fact that he didn't know the playbook and looked like he was running a schoolyard offense out there

and still managed to put up 30 points.

when things broke down, he didn't know what to do...so he ran, and people went nuts

ok? he made some plays with his feet...

what's wrong with that? he admitted himself he didn't know the playbook that well.

i have no problem giving JJ praise when he earns it, but why do you and so many have problems criticizing his shortcomings?

I was told we weren't supposed to criticize players.

what about being Lee

what about lee?

quote:

what about being a RS frosh being thrown into the mix b/c the predecessor gets thrown off the team and starter gets injured and after leading the team back on the road against Auburn the fan base throws you under the bus when you have struggles

he was put in a bad spot, i agree.

why do you contstantly make excuses for JJ, but NOTHING for Lee

what are you talking about?

we all know what happened, but why do you compare them so differently?

because i'm a racist, duh!

quote:

yes the arkansas game, he was off all day

and yet he still managed to lead the team to 30 points

he had 4 drops

quote:

what about the drop lee had against Bama when he hit chris mithcell in stride that would have likely won the game for LSU

yep, you're right.

but what about lee's 4 interceptions?

if you cuont drops for one, count them for the other

okay

the defense is giving away first downs to the enemy offense, Is that really JJ?

I thought you and Doc just said the Troy game was all JL's fault because he should have done more to keep us in the game in the firts half.

Sorry Doc, I am so used to you agreeing with LSUBCSCHAMPS11 and dukke v, I thought you had aslo said something similar to the above but I guess you stoped just short of blaming the first half deficit on JL. You simply gave him no credit for the amazing comeback becasue it was Troy.

well of course he get some credit for coming back against troy.

but it's frickING TROY

he should have had over 400 yards passing against troy.

not barely 200.

lafell is the MVP of that game IMO.

LSU scored 30 points in the fourth quarter of that game...

you know who else had a TD in that game?

jefferson

It was still a team who was spanking LSU's butt.
That game was won on Lee's arm (can't believe I just said that) on some strong, accurate downfield throws. The D I gets some credit for finally stopping that offense after we started blitzing some.

There’s nothing heroic about getting yourself into such a hole against a patsy team that you almost can’t get out of it.

Teams like LSU should drop 40 points on a team like Troy, but the end result should be like the Tigers’ 41-13 win over App State or the 41-3 win over North Texas.

It should be 30 points dropped on the patsy in the first 20 minutes, not the last.

Troy went an average of 56 seconds between LSU possessions after the Tigers scored their first touchdown.

That was by far the biggest factor in the comeback.

LSU didn’t pull any great feat in their offense –

Troy just stupidly gave them enough time to score 30 points.
