Ole Myth's running offense is Chad Kelly scrambling. Bama's rushing offense is considerably more developed.
Ole Miss has no RB, granted, but the base offense Freeze runs is the read option, the same thing Kiffin has been running with Hurts all season. so that worked out nicely, we just saw that offense.

Kelly does scramble of course, just like every other QB, but most of his runs are designed.

Hurts has only had 3 good rush games, against Tennessee, Texas AM, and Ole Miss

who rank 10, 11, and 12 in the SEC in yards per game

9, 11, and 12 in yards per play

and 9, 11, and 12 in rush defense

so, yeah, considering that texas am, who is awful, held bama to 33, Im optimistic LSU can keep them around 16.

Is anyone here actually sold on this BAMA offense?

Well, they rushed for 300 yards against the #6 team in the nation.

Of course.

Their defense could score more than 21 points against us if we aren't careful.

We could get run out of the building very easily. This is a very good team.

Forcing the frosh QB to make mistakes and not committing any turnovers will be the key to LSU winning.

absolutely this

Win the turnover battle and kick the damn ball out of the endzone on kickoffs and punts.

texas am is still the same awful team theyve always been, and chavis still cant stop teams from running right down the middle of the field. everyone runs on them.

Tennessee had their best game of the year on them

SCar had their second best game, only UMass did worse than TAM

I think they are very much like LSU 2011 - a solid group that feeds off of turnovers and good special teams play. They simply wear the other team down and take over in the second half.

LSU will have to play nearly mistake-free football to win.

Depends more on the field position given.

Without a doubt, and they can score 21 in one half of play.

Lmao you stupid negative troll. I saw you posted, and without a doubt knew you were bashing LSU. LSU has given up 21 points in a entire fame, once , against a team that scored more than twice that against bama...yet you sit here and act like LSU will give up 40+. You are a pathetic pos. I don't know why they allow you on here...always bs trolling.

They surely can. What worries me is how many points will they get off Tiger turnovers?

Alabama will have to play mistake free football to win. LSU has more 2017 draft picks than bama, and may set a collegiate record with number of players drafted...yet y'all act like they are way behind bama in talent. Lmao. Troll

I think LSU's defense and special teams could score 21 against Bama, so there is that...

Bad comparison. First game under Aranda and the defense has gotten better each week. This time around LSU can make Bama one dimensional with our secondary. Hurts is not a great passer and Saban is not stupid enough to let him keep throwing picks.

Our D-Line is not all world but we can now stack the box. We also have an offense that can move the ball and sustain drives. Our defense won't be worn down like it was at Wisky due to our constant 3 and outs.

Absolutely Bama can put up 21. Absolutely. Particularly if our offense is shite and can't get a push at the line.

To me, this game may be won in the first half. Both teams have explosive playmakers, but their philosophies are similar: possess the ball. If Bama wears our defense out in the first half, even if our guys hold them to ten points, watch out. Bama will score more than 21 on offense.

But if we are able to keep them on a long field and are able to possess the ball more than them in the first half, with a fresh defense, I really don't think they can score enough on us.

They are a run heavy team, much like us. They have explosive players, much like us. It could be a shoot out, but I doubt it. I think it will come down to a big defensive play (e.g. a turnover to give a short field) or big special teams play (e.g. a long return to give a short field). I think it's less than a touch down game.

If we don't turn the ball over, no. They will not.

You don't think there's a reason for these TDs?

You aren't wrong in saying people shouldn't expect them, though.
